Good morning. We got a text in the middle of the night advising us that our grandson was born and both mother and child are doing well. Great news to start the day! We'll head over to the hospital in Tempe later this morning.
It'll be sunny and about 87-107 here. Around August 1st, I always start calculating how long it'll be until the heat breaks. The afternoons stay hot until early October but the mornings and evenings usually cool off around mid-September.
Enjoy your day.

Good morning. I've got a busy day ahead. Blew out the rear tire on my road bike, I'll be getting it in to the shop for repairs and a tune up. I've also got shopping, yard work and a doctors appointment. Time to get to it!
Have a great day.

Good morning.
69F-86F cloudy.
The girls are all going shopping at The Mall of America today so I will do some errands before it gets too hot and then retire to my nice cool shop until nap time.

Coffee with old farts today. Then Trader’s, then maybe a bike spin.

Congrats, Don! Grandchildren are the greatest!
Nothing new here. Hot, maybe some storms. The grass grows thick and will need mowing again soon.
I hope all of us have a good day today!

Hot today. I do not like treadmills, they are like being on a treadmill. But I'll off to the rec center to walk on one today; by the time I'll be ready it'll be entirely too hot to be walking outside today.

Congratulations Cornflake and family! Endless fun awaits.
Sunny, hot, and muggy here. Laundry and miscellaneous household tasks, maybe some workshop time.

We'll head over to the hospital in Tempe later this morning. Congratulations, Don. It’s especially cool that it’s close enough for a visit. My granddaughters are many hours away and having children of their own. My only chance now is probably a great, great grandchild but I’ll have to last well into my 90s to see that.

Hot and humid. I'll need to find inside things to do today. I've already been to Vinton for a hair cut.
I'm trying to decide if I should sell my Roper garden tractor. It's special, in that it has an 18 hp, overhead cam, Kohler engine. Kohler only made the OHC engines for a couple years, they were too complicated for the average homeowner. They are in demand by the garden tractor pulling crowd, because of their high reving capability.
Mine has been sitting in the barn, unused, for the last 8 years, that's when I bought my big zero turn.

Congratulations, Don! Bill paying day and then to a car dealer to close my purchase on a Honda Ridgeline pickup. So, Hammond likes your post that says "Bill paying day..." That makes sense.

Had a good hilly walk yesterday and the legs were good. It’s encouraging, I think I am back to probably 85-90% of my fitness level before the heart attack in April. I have not biked as much as my neck gets too sore on a racing bike. I may have to bite the bullet and get a more upright machine or work harder on neck stretches.
Hot and humid today. Good one for a paddle.

Good luck, Max.
And a word of advice from an old geezer friend of your Grandpa: take piano lessons.
