Good morning. July is our worst month, weather-wise, and I won't mind putting it behind us. We'll have an okay day, about 85-107.
This morning we'll have our semi-annual meeting with our financial advisors. They're in Scottsdale. That's about an hour round trip so we'll do the meeting via Zoom.
Keep on the sunny side.

July was not only a weird month, but a month when things got weirder--or when people realized what was actshully weird.
Only out 13 times on the bike. Due to weird heat?

Good morning.
71F-91F sunny.
If I can get moving early enough I'll have but one errand to run today. Otherwise it will be too hot and humid to go anywhere I don't have to go.

Just did the airline online check-in for this evening's flight to the land of fire and ice.

Just did the airline online check-in for this evening's flight to the land of fire and ice. Hoping you make it to Selfoss -- it was one of my favorite off-base getaways during my year of servitude up there.

Nothing going on today. I'll spend some time today working out an accompaniment for "Moon Dance" that blends the bass line and strum. It's quite doable, but will take some finger gymnastics.

Good morning. Went for an early bike ride on the new transport. Now I'm enjoying the endorphins while watching the Olympics and having a cup of coffee. I've got some shopping to do, guitars to play along with some basic home maintenance. Life is good.....at the moment. 🫣
Have a great day.

The pickup purchase is delayed: The dealer will not take a wire transfer from my savings account. It wants a personal check. Everyone I tell this to scratches their head. So I need to wait for the transfer. Odd.
Bill, It is a white 2023 Ridgeline.
A slow work day. I still have time to make it to the dog park while it is under 80F.

Im guessing the dealer would have to pay a fee to process the wire transfer.

WTF A Wire Transfer is as good as cash, BUT, the Dealer may also know that one of the more common money frauds is to transfer stolen money to a Mule's account who then transfers it to the Fraudster's newly opened account and he withdraws it as cash as soon as it hits the account. Using stolen money to buy a Truck gives the crook a day or two before the Dealer finds out the money is stolen, the Mule gets left holding the bag and the Dealer is out one truck. Which is why he wants it as a check he can verify right away. EDIT: From the guy married to a Wire Transfer Fraud Investigator.

This reminds me of one of my favorite movies with one of my least favorite actors in the lead role. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

I don't drink.
But if I did, today would be a good day for it.
That's all I have to say.

I hope tomorrow's better, Shannon, and that it's nothing serious. Thanks. Nothing serious, just a frustrating day in clinic. I probably just need an attitude adjustment.

I’ll have one for ya Shannon. Stuck at O’Hare. Flight is delayed until after midnight. There’s got to be a bar here somewhere.

Well, my return flight from O'Hare to Atlanta was supposed to take off around 9:30 a.m., but was delayed until after midnight. I walked every bit of O'Hare that be accessed without security clearance and read nearly an entire John Grisham novel while I waited. What a day!

I’ll have one for ya Shannon. Stuck at O’Hare. Flight is delayed until after midnight. There’s got to be a bar here somewhere. Here's how I dealt with international delays back in my traveling days. - Have your employer pay for your travel
- Always fly business class overseas
- Because you're flying business class, hang out in the First Class lounge
- Enjoy your own personal shower, nap pod, etc. (including a bar)
