Good morning, everyone. Today I'll attend my Zoom social breakfast, then buy groceries, then buy all the things I need to prepare for a colonoscopy next Tuesday.
Nothing interesting to report. Have a good day.

Good morning. First of the month means bills to be paid. After that we've got a tech coming over for a tuneup of our garage door. Rain this afternoon and I'll try to get a bike ride in this evening, weather permitting.
Have a great day.

Good morning, all.
I think there is a bucket-full of birthdays on The Soundhole this month, so we should get ready to party!

First of the month means taking stock of our finances, which means logging on to each account to see where we are and blowing numbers into my spreadsheet. Then, for some reason, Mr. H wants to go to a Chinese buffet for lunch. It was close to disgusting when we went there several years ago. I'll be surprised if it got better. From there we hit Fry's for gasoline, a prescription, and groceries. All that on top of doing our walk this morning sounds like a full enough day for me.

Good morning.
65F-75F cloudy/rain.
I will have to go out later as my pharmacist found some Victoza. It's now generic and the original makers said the Hell With It are not making it anymore so it has been very hard to find. I could take Metformin but that stuff is really hard on your liver and it makes me sick as a dog for a short while every day, the Victoza doesn't.
Terry, Bill. There's a guitar Builders/ Repairmen show in South St Paul on Saturday, I'm going.

The storms of last night missed me, and it's a lovely cool morning.
I was out early this morning and picked about a half gallon of chokecherries. I have a tree, behind my barn where a pile of horse manure once stood. The tree is just hanging with berries, big, plump and ripe.
Not sure if I'll do some stand alone chokecherry syrup or mix them with the wild blackberries I've picked. Or, I could do some of each.
Music practice this afternoon.

I have already spent my obligatory couple hours this morning hand entering dividends and reinvestment numbers into my investment spreadsheet. I also sucked in the numbers into Quicken as well, but that only takes a few minutes. ...and we will walk the dogs before the heat sets in. And that will take us to 8 AM

Good morning, everyone. Today I'll attend my Zoom social breakfast... I'm having my first Zoom social meeting this morning, as well! I'm looking forward to it. But, as it's just Casper and me, I don't quite understand why computers need to be involved. But, that's how it's done, I guess. Modernity!

We powwowed with our financial gurus yesterday. At one point they asked if we worry about ups and downs in the market. I said no, we hire you to worry so we don't have to.

Wordle in three. Off to shower and shave then go into the trailer to try and fix the broken stove vent fan switch. I’m hopeful but there are no guarantees. Fingers crossed as we have a ten day trip planned fir the end of next week.
Going to be hot here today, 99-100.
Mike
Update. Switch fixed, I be da man. Yay me.

I am picking up some motorcycle ramps - a Facebook Marketplace purchase - at 1:00 today, then sorting through my painting gear for tomorrow's fence project.

A date appropriate song that Colin Meloy of The Decemberists posted to Threads. The inimitable Colin also posted a tale of a very moving thing that happened at one of his gigs recently. I am now really quite verklempt. He wrote, "’I've been playing music for people live on stage for the better part of my life. That is the most wild and powerful thing that has ever happened to me" Highly recommended read and quite a short one. Here is a link if you're curious. www.threads.net/@dullandwitlessboy/post/C-IujWQPK5uThis is the song mentioned. EDIT - Threads can be a bit hard to figure out sometimes so I'll put the story Colin told in another thread.

Lunch wasn't terrible. There were a lot of choices and some were good. And $13 for a lunch buffet would be a great bargain for somebody who eats a lot more than I do. There were 6 garbage trucks parked there and 6 beefy guys sitting together at one table. I'm sure they got their money's worth.
Made it out of there and got to Fry's just before 1:00 PM, when the pharmacy closes for lunch. I tossed Mr. H out of the car and he ran in to get my prescription while I parked. Did that, got groceries, gassed up the Blazer, and came home. Fry's didn't have any eggplant, so the caponata that I had planned for tomorrow night won't be happening. I think we'll go with grilled swordfish with salsa fresca and guacamole instead. Probably no dinner or just a salad tonight.
It was a good month for our investments. It's a snapshot. Markets are down today. That's how it goes.

I got wordle in three even though I got no letter matches in my first guess.
It's been a muggy day. I scored an hour of overtime. Toyota is still running like a champ.

Going out to sit in with the MNJ on Thursday bunch in a few minutes, hoping that it won't be too sticky out on the Veranda's veranda. Tonight the band's founder/guitarist/vocalist returns after several months of recovery from his triple bypass surgery. Should be a festive occasion, and I'll be doing my best to stay out from under foot.
