It'll be a hot day here with a hot weekend ahead. My wife and I will both do some weeding before the heat ratchets up. During the summer we tend to neglect the yard and it's starting to show.

Went on an evening bike ride last night and saw this rainbow being lit up by the setting sun.

This guy has been hanging around the echinaceas (coneflowers) all week. Monarchs and painted Ladies are common, but this is the first yellow swallowtail I have ever seen in my garden. And he is impressive. And big!

Morning - day 3 of relatively smoke free.

Work has been weird. This is usually busy season getting orders started for pre snow install and it's kind of slow. My vendors and customers are saying the same. Not dead but....weird. Erratic irrational stock market? Extended housing boom winding down? Heading in to a presidential election? Other than the fact banks are requiring you to have a job and a down payment and pass a credit check to buy a house these days it's reminding me of August 2008
