Good morning. We've been getting rain for the last couple of hours along with some thunderbooms. It's welcome.
We'll go to church at eight. This afternoon I'll make spaghetti sauce. That'll pretty much use up the day.
Be of good cheer.

Bacon, bacon's right Breakfast with a crispy meat Makes the day seem so complete With taste that lights the darkness in my soul Eggs beside the hill Of hash browns sitting on the side Or waffles along for the ride That covers up my warmed-up stoneware plate Now I understand what you tried to say to me Don't suffer. Eat some breakfast meat! Moderation sets you free! Glad I listened, I did not know how Good life could be until now -don mcmeat

Good morning. I'm having my morning coffee and watching the premier league pre game show. My only responsibility for today is shopping. I'll get around to that later.
Have a great day!

Large clouds are billowing in the north as they come in over the lake. Cooler today with rain according to Alexa. Coffee awaits.

Rain all around Phoenix today, but little reaches Goodyear. The Southwest corner of Phoenix still seems to be exempt from heavy rain.
Some grocery shopping today is about we have to do. The Packers play later today for their second preseason game.

I've e been accused many times of being a dog whisperer.
I'm not a raccoon or Beaver whisperer. I'll be head up to the lake soon to do battle with the beavers who think it's OK to cut down trees 50 feet from my cabin.

Minor league baseball on tap today. It's a company outing with a picnic.
Good luck with the beavers, Darryl. From what I understand, they don't listen to reason. Beavers gotta beave.

Good morning. It rained overnight, it's still cloudy and cooler, and we expect a couple of thunderstorms later on the day.
I have some guitar string changes to take care of today, and perhaps a quick grocery run. Living here has its pros and cons, both of which can be attributed to having the supermarket three blocks away, for example, negating the need for a car but making it necessary to schlep grocery bags (or use a cart).
Not much else happening. I'm hoping for a quiet day. Enjoy yours.

Good morning.
62F-82F sunny.
We will go to breakfast and shopping but the shopping will be for things needed for our trip to Key West. We want to leave the fridge as empty as possible while gone for the week. Tyler has a key and I'll make sure neighbor Shawn has one. They both will be checking on the cats because they need to get out and in several times a day.
Simon and Riley were laying in their usual spots out front yesterday when we had a freak rainstorm. It went from not a drop to total downpour in a flash. It was gone in a few moments leaving two confused and pissed off cats behind.

Paleo, my money is on the beavers. Up, coffee and Wordle in five. 🫤 brunch for 12 later here at the Wonder trailer. Blueberry pancakes, eggs, bacon and fruit. Oh and orange/mango mimosas for the gals. Mike

Nothing like breaking an egg into the waffle mixture and finding out it had been fertilized. Damned promiscuous chickens!

A very nice stadium in downtown Indianapolis. "We" (well, the ball players) are playing the St. Paul Saints (farm team of the Twins). Strangely enough, I have probably seen the St. Paul Saints play more than I have seen any other minor- or major-league baseball team play. Which is weird since I've only been to St. Paul once (and that was to watch a game while on a work trip to Minneapolis). Minor league ball is fun. I don't really follow sports at all, but I really like going to baseball games.

I went to an old guy baseball camp in Jupiter at the minor league stadium. I was just blown away by the speed of play of the minor leaguers after the sluggish play of us old guys.

Reports of my demise are almost not true. God I feel old. Been fighting an upper respiratory infection since Monday night. Work and personal life has been so out of hand that spending time here on the board hasn't been a priority. Will attempt to stop by more often so I don't get wellness check calls.
I did get to see Dub and Fiddlerina a week ago (they were out standing in their field, well a park, but anyway) however brief it may have been. I have no doubts they will be in fine fettle for the IJam this year. I, however, may be my old unprepared self, we'll see.

Nice to see you are alive and, if not exactly kicking, are still mobile, Joe.
I have a Showcase capo. Handmade by Bill Stokes and it is, while not the original McKinney style( that would be the one made by McKinney himself), it is the version that was made long before Elliott got the gig. Those of you who use Kysers will not know of what I speak. 😀
Anyway, realizing Marshall has already stopped reading, I will get to the point just in case you are wondering what the hell it is.
I have the 25-30 year old Showcase, which is identical to the Elliott, bouncing around in my Mossman case. Figured it might be nice to get a leather pouch for it, so I checked Etsy and found just the leather thing. Nice looking capo pouch made of rich, chocolatey leather. A couple weeks ago I ordered it.
I realized yesterday it had not arrived so I messaged the maker.
Turns out she is in Ukraine and it was shipped on the 15th. Another couple of weeks and, hopefully, it will arrive. I suppose I shouldn’t be, but I was surprised a small business like this was still able to produce and ship products world wide. Good for Tetiana! I should have ordered two.

Morning!
Going through all the Marvel "Thor" movies (again). Last night was "Thor: Dark Worlds". Tonight "Thor: Ragnarock". With popcorn.

I've always said I would rather bat against a major league pitcher than a minor league pitcher. The minor league pitcher throws just as hard, but he's still in the minors because he's not sure where the ball is going. Of course, the truth is I would never get a hit off either pitcher.
