Good morning. It'll be too hot to do much but the rest of the week should be okay.
Have a good day.

Good morning. I had a very strenuous day yesterday. Did the full exercise routine and bike ride after going a bit overboard doing yard improvements. I expected to have a bunch of sore muscles this morning but I woke up feeling pretty good so I'm getting results from my workouts. Good stuff.
Today we're getting a estimate for having a big dead live oak removed. I'm not looking forward to the estimate. The removal will be complicated, probably requiring a crane so we'll see.....
Rain this morning, supposed to clear this afternoon. Have a great day.

A nice sunny morning, music practice this afternoon.
Just signed up for a week ski trip, Beaver Creek, the end of January. Second ski trip on my calendar. One more in the planning stage.
Ken, estimate will be interesting. I just had a dead ash (emerald ash borer) removed from my front yard. $1100. Neighbor will grind out the stump free, or maybe a case of beer.

Since we live on a cul-de-sac, PT told me I had the perfect oval to walk every morning and get my ankle working. First time was difficult but itβs gotten easier and I can pester neighbors who are looking for morning peace and quiet in their yards. Enjoy 8-10 cups of coffee and get the morning going.

A few years back we had two very large eucalyptus trees removed with a crane. It cost about 15K. Be careful what you plant.

The tree came with the house. It was one of my favorite things about the house when we moved in 26 years ago but over time it has been failing and gave up the ghost last winter. Probably should have had it removed a year or two ago but I've got a thing for old growth trees.

It's a beautiful cool morning in Brooklyn, about 65Β° with a light breeze coming in the windows. The sun is out and it shouldn't get hotter than 74Β° todayβa nice respite from some of the hotter weather we have had recently. My wife is off to Long Island to see her parents, and I have a couple of mundane chores to do; then some guitar time. I restrung the dreadnoughts yesterday.
Her Grace finished draft #1 of her college application essay last night! Yahoo! Her writing coach likes it enough that they don't need to meet in person today; they will confer via video chat. We were quietly wringing our hands for most of the summer, wondering when this would happen. Now I can find something else over which to fret.
But it's summertime and the livin' is easy.
Here's a classic from Hot Rize. I love this band.

Woke up too early, nap time later. The lawn needs to be mowed, lawns are weird. We fertilize them to make them grow, and as soon as they do, we cut them down. Hmmm. Oh well, time for breakfast.

Ken, depending on a whole bunch of things, you could basically have two-thirds or so the limbs removed leaving an interesting looking stump. Call it art. Give it a made up Japanese name with a made up history to appease the neighbors. It will be great nesting habit (drill some of the first holes yourself). You can hang bird houses on it. The removal cost will be much less and the remaining stump will pose no threat to the house. Look at the tree and envision an interesting shape.

I've played them both. I had to stop with the maple one, too easy to bond with.

At the camp but on an outing to a nursery. I'm currently in a wood outhouse having a sit. Outhouse is fully plumbed and powered. Dang!

Terry! That rosewood OM -- if my wife wouldn't strangle me, I'd snatch that one right now!

Tree estimate, $2,900.00. Less than I feared, more than I want to spend but it must be done. π€
