There are many from before my time that I don't even recognize. It's becoming difficult to encounter things that are before my time. Some of us still regard the 1960s as “current events.”

I finished painting the fence yesterday, so today is lazy day. Played guitar or an hour and now it is time to grab pizza, go for a walk on the beach, then take a nap.

I finished painting the fence yesterday… Well it doesn’t take long when you can convince your friends that it’s a fun thing to do.

Fry's (Kroger) had both the Pfizer and Moderna COVID vaccines and the pharmacist said they just got them. So Mr. H and I got jabbed. Staff asked if we wanted flu shots too. Nope. I don't do that. If I have a bad reaction, I want to know what it's from. But we'll return in about a week and get the flu shots. RSV shots sometime after that.
We are stocked up on groceries. It will be grilled chicken thighs, zucchini, and brown rice tonight. TBD tomorrow night. Burgers on Monday.

I don't grill the chicken, but Mr. H does grill it outside on the propane BBQ grill. It's not too hot to be outside, just too hot to be out there for very long.

It's not too hot to be outside, just too hot to be out there for very long. Understandable, not unlike when Minnesotans have an outdoor wedding ceremony in February in minus-30 F. weather. It's only an hour, and the reception tent has a propane heater!

Bought an EGO electric chain/pole saw as I have a bunch of higher branches to trim and my manual pole saw while it works well is pretty tiring.
I must say the debut was good. I like it. You can get a weed trimmer head. Might think about retiring my gas powered one.
Pretty convincing win by the Cornhuskers today. Their Mahomes clone did good. Maybe Big Red is finally back?

I hadn't really followed the new vaccines. For advice on such things, I rely on a retired oncologist friend. He said to get the vaccine so I will.

Some of my favorite football games were watching the Cornhuskers, under the overhang, right around the 20-yard line. My father-in-law's tickets he first purchased in 1963. Although my favorite Cornhusker experience was probably sitting with my across-the-street neighbor in his uncle's seats in the stadium - his uncle was the founder of J.D. Edwards (a software company) and was a significant donor to UNL. It happened to be a perfect fall day, and the seats were club level. But my favorite favorite football games were when I was a youngster in the 70's. My dad was one of the band directors at KU, and my brother and I used to sit with the band. Right in front of the trombones, their slides going past our heads on either side. We travelled to the Sun Bowl with the band in 1975. Good memories. I'm on the right, in front of the hotel we stayed at in El Paso.

Polaroids could produce such funky color. I couldn't resist a quick, imperfect fix.

We now have their lawn mower, leaf blower, hedge trimmer, string trimmer, snow blower, and chainsaw. The only gas-powered tool I still own is a pressure washer and that hasn’t been used in over ten years.

Color shifts happen over the years, especially with unstable emulsions like Polaroids.

howard lee and Cornflake, that's actually a scan of a slide (I did not do the scanning). So maybe Kodachrome or Ektachrome?

From the bluish-green tint, I'd have to call Ektachrome. Kodachrome tended to go red.

Marty What is the concern with Eliquis and you. It is much more reliable on the INR. No need for frequent testing. If I needed anticoagulants, I’d insist. I take Warfarin because of the price. My med plan does not cover Eliquis so it is REALLY expensive. So sorry.
