There are plenty of people here on the soundhole. Most of their beliefs don't jive with yours. I wonder why? I think Peter meant people who lean to the Left, politically, here on the Soundhole. That right, Peter?
No, I mean the people who still come here. Any diversity of thought seemed to vanish with COVID. |

Nah. Media feeds me plenty of things I don't like and I haven't felt the desire to shoot anyone. Yet. For this dude sounds like he's got an electrical short somewhere and possibly daddy issues. Now one thing that is true is we seem to have become a society of aggrieved complainers, cancellers, and wannabe internet sensations. If by "media" you mean Facebook, Google Feed, and pundit TV and radio then yeah I suppose they are a vehicle for hate on both sides. I don't think they are creating the demand though. |

Well, at the risk of derailing this conversation again, here's something I shared with a crew of ex-Soundholers a couple weeks ago. File it under "Why Trump Matters". OK, to follow on Jeff's post since he brought the Divine into the conversation. I've always had a different take on Trump. Here's a guy with nothing to gain pissing it away, changing parties, running for President and beating a political scion to win. And everyone thinks it's Trump vs. the Democrats. No it's not. It's Trump vs. DC writ large. Republicans are no better, they just provide a marginally better vehicle to operate from. And what has he accomplished in the last 8 years? Well, a Trump appointed Federal Judge this week ruled that he can see nothing in the 2nd Amendment that prevents a citizen from owning a machine gun. Seriously. And you've all been tortured enough by my Chevron lectures to understand how huge that is. And he got Roe overturned. And because of that, the left is all a twitter because Obergefell is also vulnerable. Kind of stunning really. Trump has really been following the Biblical tradition of God using really flawed people (are there any others? Besides Jeff I mean) to execute His work. I'm convinced that that is really what is at the core of the Left's complete overreaction to everything Trump. Lucifer may be laughing, but he's also scared to death. Which brings me to today. Until about 5 weeks ago I was thinking maybe Trump will just do a Churchill and now that the Nazi's are stopped, he can't buy another term. Then some idiot got off a shot at Trump from 150 yards in one of the most brazen displays of Secret Service ineptness ever. And nobody in DC seems able to figure out just how that happened. Then it dawned on me- Israel. The only thing that still requires him to be President is foriegn affairs. Biden gave Iran a bunch of money and Hamas is using it to push Isreal from the river to the sea. And the only thing going on in this country is constant bitching and violent protests about how bad Hamas is being treated. And that gives me hope that DC is dying and Lucifer's on the run. At least for now. |

My brain wants to interpret this info in so many different ways. Is the FBI getting that incompetent? They have the manpower to cover the fringes of a golf course ahead of the President. How did someone know he would be there? Did a guy, with a car waiting, just lay in wait. The FBI would have inspected the course earlier, was that the signal or did the golf club know the President was coming that day. Too many questions. Considering the corruption in the FBI, I find very little comfort, or integrity, in any of their investigations. |

Apparently he was lining up a birdie putt when they dragged him off the course. That upset him, would me too. Hopefully he marked it and came back later.
Must have been a long one as he pretty much concedes himself anything under six feet.
He was on five, a long par 3 so a good tee shot. It’s 170 from the whites. The sixth green is very close to where the shooter was hiding. They were lucky.

I understand and my statement wasn't intended to be a blanket condemnation. BUT... the leftist faction and the media has given us a constant drone of labels like Hitler, Nazi, threat to Democracy (which we're not), racist, and call supporters white supremacists, it's only a matter of time before some nutcase is compelled to put an end to such 'evil.' Anyone who doesn't see the intense hatred, should try watching a few minutes of MSNBC. Add to that the wild eyed protests, if you can call them protests, of the 'WOKE' crowd and you have people who look like they want to kill anyone who isn't in total agreement. Many of them don't even know what they're protesting. If you've followed any of the information being released about Ryan Routh, his profile would indicate he, and now his father, are 'warped' enough to be 'triggered,' no pun intended, to act out some kind of sick solution. |

A whole lot of folks are gone because of those specific comments. It's not very hard to see how "some people" became "most people". Just get opposing voices to tire of the abuse and leave. |
