By the time I get to Phoenix...
We will soon board here in Kilimanjaro for our first leg, flight to Addis Ababa. Long layover then the long haul to Frankfort. Then the longer haul to Houston, long layover and finally the short hop to Baton Rouge. Arrive home tomorrow night.

Good morning. Safe travels to all. My abdominal strain continues to improve. I plan on resuming the exercise routine tomorrow at a reduced level from what I was doing before.
I'll be heading down to Kelly's in a bit to get some grandkid time and watch the Arsenal/Manchester City game followed by Bucs/Broncos. Hopefully with some good results......

Top of the morning to all.
As you read this, Her Grace has finished her morning coffee and our vegetarian version of a breakfast sandwich, I am draining the last of my coffee. We had such a good time last night with our dinner guests. For the benefit of those of you who didn't see my last post in the Saturday thread, it took very little convincing to get Michael to play three of his songs using my Huss and Dalton OM, which sounded great. He even commented on how much better it sounds to him since he played it years ago. The main course of miso-glazed salmon was a big hit, and Her Grace baked a mocha cake to die for.
Joining in and wishing all forumites who travel today safe and pleasant journeys. I'll be traveling to the hardware store to replace the doorknobs on our bedroom door that failed miserably last night. Then, it will be challah-baking time.

Up and deciding whether or not church is a go. Probably no go. Started getting cold symptoms yesterday and had to take drugs around midnight in order to get any sleep Drugs should be wearing off any minute now. Don't feel bad, but don't want to share with church members or choir. I may have picked it up at Thursday night's choir rehearsal. Or Thursday at our social club's lunch. Or Wednesday at the orthodontist or the supermarket.

First rain in 3 & 1/2 weeks is coming down. I hope it continues for 24 hours. It’s a nice, steady, soaking rain which is what we need. I finally was able to get some Grover ebony mini buttons to put on my 12 string. I like them and the headstock is lighter now so it does not feel like it’s going to do a dive off my lap. I like the looks better than the chrome buttons, too. Here is a before & after comparison. Actually, it’s an after and before comparison.   |

Up, coffee and Wordle. Today we will start loading the trailer for our up coming trip. Not leaving until Weds but we’ve got stuff on Monday and Tuesday so we are trying to get ahead of the curve and not be in a mad rush on Weds.

So many on the road today. My fishing buddy and I are soon off for a 2 hour drive to Lincoln City for a couple days. Wife, son and dogs are staying home.
