Which was pretty much the same thing I saw on yesterday's walk.

But, I shouldn't complain. At least I don't see this:

You were obviously not the alpha dog, Paul.

It'd be worse, Paul, if this were on a leash.

The Artist SeriesThis series of photos poses a question, why does the subject leave the path for the wood? The answer is unknown, but note the use of color and light as it creates a contrast between path and wood; the path a harshly lit stark urban gray, the wood a lush pastoral green seen in a soft filtered light. Does the positioning of the subject's nose in the first photo indicate a yearning? The second photo a call answered?

Poor dog yearns for a fire hydrant.

Hard to believe that Casper is 9 already. He's doing great.
The genesis of the dog walk photos: My three brothers and I stay in close contact and have a running text deal that goes down different trails and rabbit holes. Well, brother 4 posted a short series of photos detailing what he saw during his morning walk about the Irish country side. Brother 2 responded with a series of photos detailing what he saw during his morning walk in the Canyonlands. So I, brother 3, put together a little series of photos detailing what I saw during my morning walk.
Waiting for brother 1's morning walk.

Anyway, I posted some of my dogwalk photos here to get some reactions, thinking perhaps next time Don does a photo exhibit, maybe I could piggyback, do a joint exhibit with him. I have quite a few more from the same walk, same perspective, and put together, they tell a story. And the story is all. I think "Dog and Desert" is a natural pairing, and would be a great title for our exhibition.
What do you think, Don?
Or, Howard, you know the route. Any exhibits in your neck of the woods you could slip my dogwalk series in? We don't really need Don. I could whittle it down to only two or three dozen photos if I had to.

Paul, give me some time to check in with some of the local gallery owners. I doubt the Brooklyn Museum is ready for this caliber of work.
