Good morning. We’re in Flagstaff where it’ll be 52-77. This morning we’ll go to the arboretum and look at flowers. Enjoy your day.

Up. Watching the tour. We made reservations for France a year from now. So, lord willing and the river don’t rise, I’ll be able to see a stage or two live. Never been to Europe, most all my travels have been left coast and Hawaii.
Sposed to get up to around 90 today, but not until late this afternoon so it should not be too bad. I’ll schedule a nap for later.
Mike

Pleasant morning, gonna get very hot later on. Near-drought conditions. Tomatoes are thriving with abundant water and fertilizer, other green plants are suffering.
Off to coffee with the old guys at church, thence repairs at the condo to satisfy the city inspector.

Good morning.
74F-90F sunny.
Didn't make it to the hardware store yesterday but I will do so today. Amongst a few other items I need a few springs to finish off my latest project. I'll drag DaWife along and I've promised her breakfast out if we go early before it gets hot.

Good morning.
Like many of your towns, the early morning is pleasant but it will be hotter later. The forecast for Friday is 91° but with the increased humidity it will feel like 105°. Geez, I can hardly wait to stand on the subway platform waiting for a train to see my cardiologist that afternoon. (Routine tests.)
Her Grace has decreed that the 16" laptop she bought is too "massive" for her to carry around campus so we will be in the process of negotiating an exchange with the manufacturer today for a similar 14" model which, of course, isn't quite as powerful as the 16" but can still run the autoCAD programs she will need, and there's one that is specifically "designed for engineering students." I will be so relieved when this prep is finished and we have her tucked away tidily on campus.
Bike riders: I am awaiting my newly purchased Schwalbe tires to come in the post so my friend Mo can mount them for me and I can get back up on my commuter bike. The sidewalls currently are frayed, so they need to be replaced.
Enjoy this day.

More heat and humidity, w/ strong t-storms possible tonight.
The PGA is in town for the 3M Open, which gets going tomorrow. Their forecast looks to be sunny and hot, but rain-free. The TPC course they play on is about 15 miles north of me, a former sod farm, so all the topography had to be manufactured. A pretty dull course, in my view. Not sure how the players feel about it.

Good morning. I just completed a few outdoor tasks, before it got too hot. Not sure I succeed, it's 8:30 AM, the temp is already 80 degrees and the humidity is 92%.
Nasty out, reminds me of working at the navy base in Surabaya, Indonesia, 7 degrees south of the equator, at sea level, behind Madura Island, so no ocean breeze to cool the place. A young lady (my interpreter) who lived there told me once that no man wanted to Marry women from Surabaya because it was so hot all the women there were like Devil's. (She did get married and is doing quite well)
Hope the 20,000 RAGBRAI riders all stay safe today.

For the Iowans watching the RAGBRAI riders roll past, be sure to wave at my next-door neighbor Jim. He is average height, average weight, gray beard, riding a black road bike. You can't miss him.

Good morning. We're looking at an afternoon and evening of thunderstorms. Typical Florida summer weather. I just got back from picking up my street bike from the shop. It had a slow leak in the rear tire, and it was due for a tune up so into the shop it went. We had a weird weather day yesterday. Overcast and unseasonably cool so while the street bike was in the shop I took the mountain bike to the Weeki Wachi Preserve and got some off-road miles in. Good stuff but exhausting. I've got a doctor's appointment later this afternoon and I'm contemplating going to the open mike at the Broad Street Brewing Company in Brookville this evening. It depends on how tired I am. Have a great day folks,

I'll be getting my first gel injection in my right knee this morning. I had a zerk fitting installed in my left knee. A couple shots of grease once a month and it's good to go.

Ok, so I didn't have a zerk installed. I do think I'm on to something, however.

Morning!
Another nice rain last night. Over the last couple weeks, a little over two and half inches of soft, non-storm driven, rain. Just over four inches for the month. Crops up here are looking to be huge, as are my pumpkins up at the farm. All can still go to hell, but right now, for the most part, it is looking really good.
(when the rains come, some spots will always get too much, but the adage in the trading pits holds, 'rain makes grain'.)

I've wondered why they don't play the 3M Open on a much more famous Twin Cities course like Hazeltine or Interlochen. Lots of interesting and historic golf courses in the TC metro.
Winner of the 3M takes home $1.5 million.

We did go to breakfast and the hardware store. Now it's time to hunker down as it's getting really hot and humid out there.

Totally nuts. Try to watch a mountain stage and get there early enough to catch the publicity caravan, they toss out all sorts of free swag. For us the Antargaz hats were the big prize.
