This poll will run until about Tuesday morning. Best if we get it christened and permanent.

I sould suggest Soundhole because as Don said, "Isle BeDamned" might be a bit offputting for newbies and is kind of an inside joke. Not that soundhole isn't, but at least it is related to guitars.
and not banjos

What you got against banjos? I saw one at the music store today for $100. No extra charge for the tobacco spit stains. Come out of the banjo closet, Trampy. All the cool kids are doing it!

I did see a six string banjo once that was a hellof a lot of fun to noodle on.

So I guess Soundhole BeDamned isn't an option.

I suppose we can't call it "Play Over the Soundhole"

I voted for The Soundhole, even though I came up with the 3% solution. In the long run, we probably wouldn't be happy if we named the board after a dark joke. Kinda like Frank must have felt about Dwezil...

I voted for PickCairn, although my vote would go to SoundHole if there's no chance for PickCairn. I'd like it if we weren't in a hole, but in someplace inviting. Like a lounge, or a cafe, or living room. Or a gathering.

What would we call Soundhole for short -- SH?
TTT was nice and fast to type.
How about BBB, for Blah Blah Blah?
No? Maybe YYY, for Yap Yap Yap, or Yuk Yuk Yuk?

Well, I would even say if something wins outright we can tweak it?
The SoundHole Lounge? The Soundhole gathering?

I think of "The SoundHole" in terms not unlike a watering hole -- a gathering place for different species with a common interest to meet while avoiding predators.

I too like The SoundHole because it isn't exclusive to the acoustic guitar. It applies to all stringed instruments both electric and acoustic. And as most of you know, acoustic guitar isn't the only instrument represented among us.

My resonator guitar does not have soundholes.
Or it has many. Hmm.
