Greetings from Amsterdam.
Before I go any further, we arrived here here last last , and found that this weekend is Amsterdam Gay Pride festival. Jeez... just like home. I live in the San Francisco area for those of you who don't know.
Didn't hit the sheets til almost 4 ayem last night, and today we'll explore the canals, Van Gogh Museum, buy some hashish, maybe visit The Anne Frank Museum, and later tonight we'll stroll the red light district.
We're staying in an short term apartment building occupied with young people and families, run by an early twenties ex-pat NYC stoner. They have a server filled with music and movies of over 6 terrabytes of data. A real fun place. I feel like I'm in my twenties again until the accursed mirror tells me otherwise.
I'll be on the lookout for a music store as always.
Have a great weekend, everyone. I know I will.

Good Morning Good People
Sunny and warm, predicted to be quite hot, but we'll have a cool (cold) lake to jump into. Headed Up North for a few days, back next Wednesday. Trying to decide whether to torment the extended family with guitar or banjo.
Have a harmonious high summer weekend one and all.

Bob, you old profligate! I love Amsterdam but my gripe is that the red light district mucks up some of the best old sections in the city. I wish it were a bit more to the side. Say hi to Vincent & his old ear.

T-Bob, I think the Beach Boy's "I Get Around" should be your theme song!
HEy everyone. I seem to have survived the "Twilight" party/sleepover at my house. The girls are still sawing logs in a tent in the back yard, wonder when they actually went to sleep. It was quite the scene at Barnes and Noble at midninght last night.
Thank God for coffee.

On vacation at friends in Kelowna - the weather has not been perfect, but today will be sunny and hot. Eldest daughter joined us yesterday for four days, and life is pretty darn grand. And we too have a glorious lake, (several glorious lakes,) to jump into, plus we are surrounded by wineries.
Now if my children were only old enough to drive to go get me refills on a regular basis....
