OUTSTANDING!
And as I did with Our Mizz Resolve for her conference, might I recommend the Days Inn Roseville -- cheap, clean, amenity-enhanced and very well located for all the Roseville and Minneapolis destinations....
Don't be afraid to ask for the AARP rate -- you never have to prove you are a member!

Marshall and Kari, I am so sorry that this excludes you. But it was the only shot I had, and I grabbed it..... Can't win them all.

Marty has moved and pinned this so people are reminded of the big July 17-19 weekend.
Shaping up like this -- early arrivals on Friday can enjoy the deelites of Dinkytown until suppertime or so, when our gathering spot will be the back bar/dining room of Ol Mexico. Food, drink, passing around of guitars, swapping of lies, no sound system, just camaraderie.
Saturday morning, breffkust with Marty at the Square Peg. Possible side trip to nearby Podium after that.
Saturday, noon to 9 p.m. or so -- the wonders of Central Park and the Lions shelter, with full kitchen, bathrooms, nearby tennis courts, playground, lakeside walking/biking trails, waterfall, etc. This may be kinda potluck on food (locals only -- outta towners, relax). We'll be grilling brats, though, for sure. 3.2 beer only, please -- them's the park rules. Toward the evening, we'll set up gear and have a big ol open mike ...
10 p.m. to whenever, back to Ol Mex for frivolity.
Sunday -- early parting lunch at Kafe 421....

Is that three beers a day, or three beers at a time? And how can you tell exactly when you've had two-tenths of a beer? Wait a minute, two-tenths is a fifth, right? So I can drink three beers *and* a fifth?

That date is really up in the air for me, I really don't know. It depends on if I work that Sunday. I'm changing employers, have a strange summer ahead because of that, etc.
But that being said....
Taylor reads this forum, for some reason. Because of that, this has changed from a "Kim can I go" to a "Todd, why don't we go (yes, the stupid mall)". So I'm expecting to be there. I just don't know for how much of it.

Well I, for one, am hoping none of you make it...so I can just sit in this amazing pavilion with Bill and Marty and play my goofy little novice offerings with no pressure to be "good at this"....then we'll head over to Georgia's Kafe and hang out with that pretty cool lady. Then we'll tell you all about it...with pictures...and you'll all say, "Day-em, shoulda been there"!!!! (um...in case some of you literal types don't recognize this as sarcasm...C'mon you guys!!!! ;D [Geez, Bill. Do ya think it's because you are withholding "Shag Central"?]

Sounds like loads of fun, unfortunately, as Marshall has said we got a conflict.....boo hoo.
Why does it always seem that there are plenty of weekends with nothing on the calendar, yet when something comes up that you would like to do, you have 4 things that you have to choose between???

I hear ya, Kari! Sorry you and Marshall won't be there. I was looking forward to meeting you both. Looks like I might have the same problem for IJam.

Problems Schmoblems.
Get your priorities straight.
I'm sorry to miss the Mn crowd. The impromptu recordings from old Rosejams are some of my favs; Like Hanners and "The Key in Bill's Back Yard."

Hmmmmm....isn't the reason you and Kari will be absent from Rosejam because you are attending a wedding?

Bill and I are planning on getting married on July 18, then renewing our nuptials on September 12th. That way, we can both attend each other's jams.
