Speaking in China about the importance of effective communication, Joe Biden had this to say. Liberal or conservative, you have to like this one. “And so language, the ability not only to master the ability to put your ideas into words succinctly on a platform to communicate ideas to your own people, it is even more impressive when you have the capacity to do that and communicate your ideas, especially as future business and political and moral leaders of the world in the language of the people to whom you are speaking.”

;D
It's not fair to do that to the Chinese. Unless they're really good with English, they're going to spend a while trying to figure out what he was trying to say.

The first time I read it I thought it was circumfulous, but then I realized that he was speaking phalaciously between the words.

When Obama was just beginning to pick up steam as a candidate, Biden complimented him as being an articulate black man. It must be said that Biden himself is a credit to his own race.

They are obviously cutting government waste by firing his speechwriters. Or should...

Which is to say, I agree with you.

Ya know, eschew obfuscation and all that. Tell me about it. I like it when somebody else eats all the Brazilian & macadamia nuts first, leaving me just the eschews.

Yeah, but in the cheap mixed nut cans the eschews are always obfuscated by the peanuts.

Biden actually spoke in Mandarin dialect and what was posted was an English translation by a Chinese technical manual writer.

Biden actually spoke in Mandarin dialect Which goes a long way toward explaining why he so soon felt the need to repeat himself.

You guys don't give Joe enough credit. This is obviously a subtle counter attack on the Chinese. They hack our computers, we send them Joe.

A little less than succinct maybe, but with a bit more punctuation and a pause or two, this could sound fine. I always thought that about the "known unknowns" quote too btw.
