Here's my attempt at green and exercise all in one. Also hopefully my commuter vehicle into Anacortes. if it doesn't kill me it will make me slender (or smoke less)

And will it get you to Idiot Jam?

Ummm, you live on the Washington coast, right? Rain capital of the U.S.A.? yup, that's why there are fenders I'm finding that wet is relative. I'm hoping to eventually move to the sunnier part of the state eventually, but for the time being I'll just learn to live with WET, and try to cope.

Nice, Dennis. Who makes it and what is it called? And will it get you to Idiot Jam? It's a TerraTrike Rambler, won't get me to IJ, well maybe if I left in July. It's my attempt at a compromise, next year a new guitar if I've managed to use this every day I could.

"I'm hoping to eventually move to the sunnier part of the state..." Yakima? It ain't what you would call pleasant to look at out that way.

Other than the obviously more comfortable seat what advantage does this trike have over a standard street bike?
I can't see anyone wheeling this thing through a crowded city street. It must handle like a Mack truck compared to a two wheeler.

So you will have to hop a ferry across the channel?

Looks very cool. Advantages? - Lower center of gravity.
- Comfort
- Stability
- Speed (maybe. Land speed record for bicycles is held by recumbent. This is a 3 wheeler, though.)
- Less wind resistance
- Reduce neck strain, back strain.
- Better vision.

"I'm hoping to eventually move to the sunnier part of the state..." Sequim has 300 days of sun.

I want one. I wouldn't count on it helping you to quit smoking though. Three wheels will keep you upright while you casually pull out a pack of cigarettes, find your lighter, cup your hands against the wind. . . . With a rig like that you'll have time to roll your own, if you're inclined.

I wouldn't wish Yakima on anyone, and I know what I'm talking about. My Dad was once a councilman there. Talk about your good ol' boy network running a town...

Cool ride Dennis!!! TerraTrikes are built in Kentwood, Michigan about 3 kilometers from where I sit. I have seen a few on the roads and bike trails around here. Good call on the fenders.
I understand they are quite fast and quite manuverable. Some stalwarts ride them as their main transportation through the winter.
