Well today is my 23rd anniversary, all to the same women its amazing how the time flies, 3 kids later.... two in college and one in high school. it still does not seem that long ago, We have been together for the last 25 years. Its hard to believe that we met at a wedding for one of my co-worker, she caught the flowers and I caught the garter. It was a wedding that I didnt really want to go to it the first place, but since in was in the afternoon.... and I could still go out and hit the bars on a Saturday night, I decided to go. I guess I was lucky I went.
Out of pure curiosity, how did you guys meet your spouse ?? and how long have you been together ??

Well today is my 23rd anniversary, all to the same women [...] Mormon? My wife and I were set up by her former employer, whose parents were good friends of my family's. Six years later I called and asked her to dinner. She accepted, and that was almost 12 years ago. We've been married for seven years and have a lovely 5-year-old child. Congratulations on your anniversary, Bassman. I wish you many more years of happiness.

I got to know my sweetie thanks to the Unofficial Martin Guitar Forum. We met at their annual get-together in Scranton three and half years ago. We were the only two people there with Taylors. Somehow, we just knew it was meant to be. (It was love at first strum, thin and overly bright though it was). We now have six lovely children and 32 Taylors.

I got to know my sweetie thanks to the Official Taylor Guitar Forum. We met at their annual get-together in California three and half years ago. We were the only two people there with Martins. Somehow, we just knew it was meant to be. (It was love at first strum, dark and with too many toasted wheat underpinnings though it was). We now have a redneck for a neighbor and a dog with pretty severe gas.

I first met Lars in a bar where he was playing in 1977. He doesn't remember. Twenty years later and two spouses later we finally decided that we could probably put up with each other for the rest of this iteration so here we are. It works very well indeed.
congratulations Bassman! Wise man to chose well the first time.

Met her at a wine tasting. She made me laugh so hard wine came out my nose. 19 years she's been putting up with me. Mike

I got to know Millring on the AG forum 27 years ago. The internet was new and exciting. We are close, but I have no desire to marry the guy. In those days, we were both young, gifted and carefree. Now he looks so much older and I have hardly aged. He touches up his hair and thinks no one knows but the color comb he carries always leaks in his shirt pocket.
Congratulations on 23 years of togetherness, Bassman.
Barb and I will be together 22 years next May. Hard to believe.

Congratulations on 23 years.
I was just out of the Navy, working for my father's company and having been dumped while I was in 'Nam, I was in a period of picking up secretaries at offices I visited. Net Mary while getting some plans and specs reproduced at a blueorint shop back in '69. Got to talking while I waited and the rest is history.

Heh, I've got a rose tattoo on my bicep with a ribbon banner underneath that reads "YOUR NAME HERE."
Congrats to those of you who have mastered longevity.

Our kids have all heard the story of "The Haircut." Melva and I were in the theatre department in college, so we knew each other vaguely. She had a basic shoulder-length Midwest haircut.
Over winter break, she went on a school-sponsored trip to London, and while she was there she went to Vidal Sassoon's studio. She came back with short sexy hair that hung over one eye. I asked her out.
Am I shallow? You bet. That would have been in 1974.

Congrats, Bassman.
I met mine 28 years ago. It's a long story if told properly, which I'm not going to do. But it involved beer, two girls, a sister and a father. Oh, and a volleyball.

Thanks for all the well wishes, its funny how some people get together. I can say one thing that I have learn over the years, is that if I were every to get divorced or if my wife passed away, I would never get marry again, its just too hard.
Fingerplucked can't believe your going to leave us hanging, this sounds like a classic story !! its got everything beer, women, and a volleyball. You have to tell at least some of it. Dont leave us hanging !!!

I met Kathy at a Baptist student group on the campus of the tiny liberal-arts college we attended. Oddly enough, neither of us was Baptist then, and we still aren't. We are, however, married for just short of 25 years.
Oh, and congratulations. Here's wishing that your 23 years is just a down payment!

"I would never get marry again, its just too hard."
Interesting. Being married has never been hard or difficult.

My divorce became final last week. Being married to some people is beyond difficult. If you've never experienced that fact, count your lucky stars and kiss your wife/husband.

I met the love of my life 31 1/2 years ago at a singles potluck and we've been married almost 30 years. Those of us who can say that we married the right person are very fortunate.
Congratulations, Bassman.
