Our wonderful, generous, delightful hosts. I miss them already. It was so good to meet Katherine after 12 years of sharing these boards, and others. Lars is a gentleman and fine songwriter and musician. I'll post a few more of my photos this evening. This was directly from my computer and looks better than the thing linked from Photospitoon. I think I may have just learned something.

Nice photos so far. From what Howard told me on the phone last night, it sounds like it was a wonderful time with really great people. He was still giddy from the experience and had plenty of great stories about the hospitality, music, friendship and scenery. I would bet the time flew by a lot faster than anyone wanted. I am eager to see more photos and hear more stories. How about some recordings??

Love that photograph of Kate and Lars Howard! Yes, we did find that we are a group that shared many interests besides music. There was much discussion about photography, and we enjoyed our adventure into the woods...looking at all the different wild things growing, asking Tamarack to help me identify. Howard and Joy entertained us with jokes, and we all shared a bit of silliness along the way. I must also thank you guys for being so understanding and supportive of my instability on my feet walking in the woods. Although I have come a long way from my fall walking on flat hard surfaces, the woods slippery rocks and mud, and up and downs were a bit of a challenge for me, as well as the fact I hadn't ventured that far yet. You all were so patient and kind, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart Even tho I don't post too much, I find that the people of the Soundhole are a lovely bunch of artists who seem to be able to become fast and close friends...maybe unlike most of the people I meet in the real world. I must say am quite fond of all I have met in person!

We just got home. Someone has to bring up the rear.
It has all been said. The people that attended are wonderful people and it was a real pleasure to see them all again. I told Diane that those attending would be good folks, and she had to admit that I was right for once.

Well here it is one week after it started and only one day after it ended...It's a fog with moments of wonderful clarity. This video is sort of both. I remember smiling smiles that only music can conjure. Happy birthday Kate and thank you for finding all these great folks and inviting them to our home eh. www.youtube.com/watch?v=psepIwciO_8&feature=youtu.be

Heh. The Soundhole photography club. Heh, heh. At one point I commented, "I think there's more photography going on than music.!"

I watched the sing song and that was grand. Now I'm having trouble figuring out how to pep up my life and actually be Howard. (Or you other close seconds)

Very nice. Was that just the mic on the camera?

Lars you are welcome. Let this be a lesson to you young man: Whatever Katherine says is correct and if you just follow along you will have a good life. Got it? * dradtke, it was just the mic on a pretty inexpensive camera. I am working on my photos and they will be along presently. I spent the past few days relaxing a bit, smiling from time to time remembering little things that happened over the six days we had together. I can't express how much joy you all brought to our home. I will never forget it.
