Congratulations David! I am so glad to see we have an official winner of this lovely guitar that was beautifully restored by our own Master Luthier, Marty. I would like to thank Marty for all his work and Marshall for keeping it all straight as the ticket sales came in. Thanks to all who took part in the raffle. Enjoy the guitar, David.

What a nice guitar. Marty knows stuff...I got to play it at Chef headquarters !! I think I took that photo of Ms Resolve ( she wasn't asleep at the time...really!)....

It went to a great guy. It's extremely gratifying to see the "try" guitar getting a new lease on life.

Thanks LJ. What a wonderful prize! I never win drawings or raffles, so this is unexpected. I have visited the "Restoring Millring's H1260" post many times over the past couple months and shared the site with friends to impress upon them the skill and effort that has gone into Marty's restoration of the Harmony. Just now I took my wife through the whole story and the restoration posts. What a treat! Marty has put so much effort into this guitar and in the process shown us all some of his talent and patience. And John provided the guitar and shared the great story behind it and his friend Dave the potter. Here again is the link to John's story about the "Try" guitar: baumanstoneware.blogspot.com/2010/01/worthwhile-guitar.html#comment-form I have been envious of the attendees of the Ijam and other events that many of you lucky folks have figured out how to attend. I wish I would have been there this year. I hope many of you played and fondled the Try guitar so that it might have absorbed some of your talent, humor and company and maybe I can share in it that way. I will bring the Try guitar home and show it some Oregon hospitality. Mike Wonder will probably get his hands on it too as will both my sons who play and sing much better than me. John, thank you for the kind words. Marshall, thank you for documenting the drawing and all your work on collecting fees. Resolve, thank you for picking my ticket!

Are we sure he didn't say "Dr. LJ"? That sounds a lot like David when the room is noisy and everyone is half tanked on Iowa beer.

There was a large, mean-looking woman in a Packer's jersey barging about the room asking if anyone knew a Dr. LJ and where that slippery little louse could be found. So, the name LJ was heard in and about the room.
Maybe you are lucky you weren't there.

Sounds like it. Guess I better leave well enough alone.

Congrats David!!! The Harmony is mellow and smooth as fine whiskey, and loaded with mojo.
(We also learned that you have a last name)
