Cell number sent. Bill's suggestion looks good. I think we could twist Marty's arm.

^^, sure, if it's not a problem, or I can play electric the whole time. No biggie. Hey, if I can't be there, at least my guitar can be! It will be nice to get all those others frets played on too won't it Bill?

Giacomo is in the house ! He's in the Kate and Lars Suite. Just cleaning up and getting ready to head on down to Constellation. Sue and I will follow later. (Cubs game is over. So, that traffic congestion should be out of the way). He's a charming young man (as I remembered him). Quite chatty, which pleases Susan no end. They talked on forever. I just nod my head and smile and throw in a couple words here and there.

Well, J doesn't think he can do lunch. He wants to be there by 3:00 to prepare for the show. Whatever happened to driving all night and doing a show hungover? Boy, times have changed. And I was looking forward to that walleye, too. He said that next time the beer was on him, but by then we'll be so old it'll be a damn cheap date. Break a leg, J.

To be honest, it would have been tough, and surely rushed, for me to do it tomoro, too -- but let the record show that the hoggy Martina has within the hour been handed off to Lon Man, so J will have that at his disposal in New London. Marty, what are those latest strings, again?

Marty, what are those latest strings, again? DR Sunbeam, round core bronze wound. But I am researching/hunting for another round core string that is also light core.

Great times were had chez Mr. H. and Sue, who are both wonderful hosts. Time to gulp down the coffee and get going, though...

Well the lad is on the road. It was truly very enjoyable hanging with him. Such an intelligent and cosmopolitan (yet down to earth) guy. His show was very fun. Avant Garde to be sure. But very enjoyable. I got a vinyl of his record. Now I'm going to have to figure out how to hook up that old turntable in the basement to my upstairs equipment. A couple of shots from the show.

Well, we did it. Delightful theater, good house, very receptive. Bill's Martin sounded wonderful in Giacomo's hands. 'Genteel" is my new favorite instrumental. We closed the show wroth a pair of duets, "Yesterday" and "Since I Fell for You." Compared to J's mastery of the instrument, I felt like I was wearing mittens, but we pulled it off. A fine time was had by all. Thank you Mr. Letson for representing the Soundhole.

Yes! That is one show I sure wish I could have caught. Glad that Mizz Martina worked out well, at least.

Like any good Lutheran, Lonnie is being too modest--he put up one hell of a show, and I was honored to share the stage with him. Many thanks to Russell for making the drive, and to Bill for so graciously lending his sweet-sounding axe. This was so much fun, I look forward to doing it again some time soon! Now off to Omaha...
