Hey gang, less than a week before I embark in a lightning-fast three-state tour of the Midwest (though I will be driving through Wisconsin and Iowa, so maybe it's a five-state drive?) The shows: Sunday July 5th Chicago, IL, 8:30 pm at Constellation www.facebook.com/events/1605828006371006/Monday, July 6th HANG OUT WITH MARSHALL Tuesday, July 7th New London MN, 7:00 pm at New London Little Theater with Lonnie www.facebook.com/events/1662133564022215/Wednesday, July 8th Omaha, NE, 6:30 pm at Omaha Under the Radar Festival www.facebook.com/events/1055707901123639/If anyone is around or has friends who are around and may be interested in the shows, please feel free to spread the word! Would love to meet/see/hang with any forumite along the way, though transit schedules are going to be pretty tight most of the time. The nonsensical part refers to having to return to ORD to drop off the rental car/in time to catch a return flight to SF and attend our first childbirth prep class with Paula...I thought returning the rental car in Omaha was going to be an option, but it turned out to be considerably more expensive!

I'll be working in Peoria that week. Won't be able to catch you but I'll wave in support as you drive by.

Still waiting on the SW tour. I mean you are just supposed to fly over those people in the middle. Next year maybe?

^^, sure, if it's not a problem, or I can play electric the whole time. No biggie.

I was planning a nice music/ metal detecting road trip to New London but due to being sick, thus behind on work and poorer than expected, I won't make it.

Given the nature of the show, and the world-class luminaries involved, I would think your clients would be more than understanding if their guitars were a day late. I wouldn't, but they would... trust me on this one.

Assuming nothing unexpected comes up, I expect to drive down to New London. Save me a seat with nobody tall in front of it.

I'd come if you would drag New London to within 250 miles of Kingman.

Damn, I don't think I'm going to be able to make it. All my days off are spoken for and it's just far enough to be a problem.
But you must be driving up I-94. What time will you be passing through the Cities? Both 94 and 694 are a half mile from both home and work. Lunch? Early lunch? Late lunch? Inquiring minds want to know.

Giacomo, I am happy that you are making the most of your, before child, untethered time. Could you swing by Portland on your way home? I have some new eatery spots for you to sample.

Good luck, J. We'll need a report on who is taller, you or Lonnie. I would love to be that show, guys. But it's a tad bit far to drive.

The force leads you into Tavern on Grand, where your comrades and a plate of walleye, red potatoes and veggies await, along with a frosty local brewski ....
