Good morning.
It's Saturday and not supposed to rain which almost never happens. I can't open the pool by myself but I may try to get the pump and filter running and check for leaks anyway. I shouldn't have to do any heavy lifting to do that. The pool has been filled above the skimmers under the cover. That I could do.
My steroid injection is scheduled for Thursday afternoon and I can't miss that because I don't know when I might get another appointment. Meanwhile my wife's twin sister's husband entered hospice yesterday. He's been falling apart for the past 30 years but it's probably days now if that. Mary will need to go to Massachusetts for his funeral when he goes. She's very close to her twin of course. The guy had had a roofing and siding business and he's fallen off a lot of scaffolding and roofs but somehow recovered from all the injuries over the years. Looks like diabetes is gonna do him in.
Have a good Saturday if you can.

Good Saturday to you.
I am going to see John Gorka tonight at the Indy Folk Series season finale. Very small up-close venue, 200 people. Should be fun.

Kind of an easy morning. Before I picked the dog up from the trim & shampoo shop I scored a second car seat and baby buggy from the second hand shop--maybe $45 for the two. These are on top of already having the same for the first grandkid. Our daughter now has two and is coming to visit in june, so this is prep for that.
For dinner I made swedish meatballs (w/some veggies added to the sauce)--wife thinks it's the first time ever for us to have them at home. I kind of blended two recipes that I'd found online. They came out okay, but next time I'll use actual panko instead of trying to mush/shred a couple slices of bread.

Up, with dachshund and coffee. Today, Katie is coming over so I can go with her to the Hyundai store. She is kicking tires on a Kona, their mini-suv, and for test driving it, they will give her a fifty dollar gift card. Wine tasting later with the friends who had us stay at their condo in Kauai last winter, then a early dinner at a fancy restaurant with them. www.nebbiolowinebar.comMike

Hello -- Chilly, rainy, cloudy, windy here, segueing to stormy later, and kinda like that all weekend, drat the luck, so I have scratched the notion of going to a fly-in pancake breakfast at a grass strip north of here and will instead probably do lots of laundry and cooking after my errand circle.
Had some wonderful Dan Dan Noodles and something called West Lake Beef Soup from my local Szechuan place last night, so that was nice.
On edit: BEER CHOIR tonight at Como Park Pavilion, might try that!

Looks sunny here. It was 50 yesterday and today is supposed to be 82. We take it a day at a time. If you are near Marion, IA, go buy some pottery. If you are near here, stop over for coffee and some pickin'.

Good morning.
50F/10C Cloudy/rain/ T storms.
As Bill said, lousy weather this weekend. Down to my shop. Rearranging is coming along nicely if not quickly but eventually I'll have a lot more room in there and a neater shop. I have to find a way to get rid of 6-7 old crapped out chipboard cases I've been hoarding. I'm hoping Fret Central has a big dumpster like the Podium had.
Pine Island 89F.

Good Morning Good People
Rainy overnight, damp and chilly this morning, warm and muggy this afternoon. Lilacs are blooming, so we will enjoy them for a fleeting moment. Working for a few hours then doing some housecleaning and cooking my infamous asparagus crepes for dinner.
My condolences to Mary's sister and family.
Have a fine Saturday one and all.
