I love hats, especially now that my hair has thinned so much. I think the fedora is a classic and refined look. When I wear mine, I do not feel self-conscious in the least.

Epaul, it's a good thing Auburn won this year or Shannon might have left in a huff. Did you do that on purpose?

I recently bought a hat on sale at Penney's. Label said "All American" over the larger word "Stetson." Under that in smaller letters, "Made in China."

Only place I could find my every day hat.
Great hat, but it impedes my tuning.

Jeff, as my old country music mentor (who wore cowboy hats) told me, "Son, when little girls and their moms talk to me in the grocery store, they're talking to the hat." That might be a Midwestern concept; he is from Ohio. That's awesome!

That might be a Midwestern concept; he is from Ohio. No one in the Midwest would call you son unless they were blind and, when in the presence of a lady, a gentleman removes his hat and his cigar. I can say for almost certain that is not a Midwestern concept.

My latest hats--both from David Morgan's mail-order catalogue. The eight-quarter cap seems to be discontinued. (Except mine is flat black rather than tweed.)

I wear a hat similar to Jeff's, a broad brim fedora. I get lots of compliments on it.
However, I have found that businesses no longer have hat racks. Or cloak rooms. I spend a lot of time looking for someplace to put my hat when I'm indoors.

Which is why I hang my hat in New York.

The Midwest has very strict age limit statutes. Which is why I hang my hat in New York. I have only seen you in one hat. It was in that photo of you doing the Lewis and Clark impersonation. I would bet there is no hat hanging on that peg of yours at all. I own probably 30 hats. All are pristine because I never wear them.
