And love back at you, Dub and equal amounts, maybe even a tiny bit more, to Fiddlerina.
Take care, get better, and be well.

It was indeed that bad in many areas. In our neighborhood, though, I'd say the winds were 80% to 100% stronger at times. Really! I had in mind getting some video footage but when I saw the force of the wind we just ran for the basement in very real terror. Our neighborhood is heavily forested with many large trees 50 to 100 years old and more. Trees were not only toppled into houses but often their entire massive root ball was pulled up too. What we see in this video, horrible as it is, doesn't come close to the devastation we have around us here.

Well, this thread isn't good news to come back to after a week away. Reading through from the first page I nearly jumped for joy(!) when Dub joined in on page 3.
Mark and Joy, you're some of our favorite people, and we hope and pray that healing and recovery and mending and repair all happen as quickly as possible. Love you two.

Yes, our area is right in the middle of the worst of the whole storm. I heard from two different reliable sources that winds were recorded at 143 MPH! I'm going to try posting a little but I may get weary and drop off. You people are the kindest, most thoughtful group of friends I've ever come across by accident. Your musicianship is outstanding and... you're each a helluva snappy dresser. I cherish each and every one of you. Thanks to our amazing neighbors and church family, all the downed trees in our yard have been cleared, the whole yard raked, generator procured to power my oxygen concentrator and CPAP. Just a phenomenal effort on our behalf. We are overwhelmed. Fiddlerina is outmowing the lawn. We have a self propelled EGO mower that is very easy to use and seems the equal of any gasoline mower I've used includingToro I still don't feel too great. Lots of weakness, still get some chills and low grade fever. Mental acuity seems to be improving. I think my strength will improve. Too much to hope that my guitar will improve. Love to all, --- Dub So many things have developed in my absence. Mark, I'm so sorry that and Joy been forced to experience such an ordeal with your health and to have that compounded by the ongoing pandemic and a devastating storm. It's exhausting just thinking about how trying that has to be. Love and prayers from Betty and I. We've been so looking forward to seeing you again but like most other folks, most of our plans for this year have been dashed or "put on the back burner." Take care of yourself and keep us posted.

Hugs and prayers, dear Dub. So many of your symptoms sound like mine. For me its been a frustrating and frightening 3 weeks but today I've suddenly turned a corner. I pray your corner is...just around the corner. So sorry to have been out of touch for so long, Evan. I hope you're back to normal or getting there soon. Seems so long since our paths last crossed. Too long in my thinking. Love and prayers for you and yours. I've seen my share of doctors and healthcare pros in recent years. But still fortunate to be here. Keep me posted on your status.

Mark, I have nothing insightful to add, but I'm very glad things are looking up. You add a great deal just by posting. The devastation is what it is. Nothing for it but to haul away the rubble and readjust “normalcy.” Had a visit with my PCP today. Most of my issues are being turned over to my pulmonologist. It seems this may have been brought on by change in medications affecting certain areas being attacked by my RA. It’s all kind of esoteric. My rheumatologist is being brought in too. Fingers crossed.

We're definitely thinking of you, Dub. I would imagine the stress has a lot to do with it.
