39 degrees. That is a bit chilly. The sun is out, though. Enjoy.

On my 3rd cup of coffee. Ski club kickoff meeting this afternoon. This next ski season will probably be the first time in 20+ years that I'm not in the mountains skiing. Didn't buy a season pass and unless there is some kind of miracle I'll just sit this one out. It hurts, I don't have that many good ski years left, but I do have a strong self preservation instinct, and in my estimation there are far to many fools who don't take the virus seriously.
More coffee.

Had the house to myself last night so brought the big amps out, ran a Super Reverb and a tweed Bassman in stereo, looped some blues comping rhythms, and wailed away. It was AWESOME!!!

Fifty degrees here, heading to 71, grass cutting and maybe lunch out somewhere in my future. Bummed that both Tiger and Phil Mickelson missed the cut at the U.S. Open, tough course.
I had the first instance yesterday at an eatery of being asked for my name and phone number before being seated -- for contact tracing purposes, if needed. Felt odd. So I used Marty's name and number.

Up and coffee. The smoke appears to be gone. Man, you don’t know what a relief that is, after being trapped inside for over a week with constant headaches from the air,
Today I’ll mow, and wash the truck, last night we got Thai take out and it took us 45 minutes just to get the restaurant on the phone, because of everyone venturing out again. Tonight it’s leftover Thai take out for the win.

Good morning.
Fall is definitely here and I guess it's time to fire up the furnace, I don't want to but it was cold in the house and I didn't want to get out of our nice warm bed this morning.
I've been able to get some decent shop time in this week and this morning I will reap the rewards as customers pick up completed work.
We didn't get Cheri's work area set up yet but after shop time we will take a unused recliner to the refuse center so we have room to set up her work space. The girls are rather pleased at this because it opens up the dining room table again for family meals and also the place where we have family game night. No more eating on tv trays.

My inner repairman wants to chastise you for EVER putting a nice guitar in that position. But the guitar is fine so no big deal, just don't do it again. Good morning. It's my wife's birthday so I'll make breakfast. Omelets, bacon and toast. I'd make something more exciting but we don't have the ingredients. I've moved two loads of semi-compost to some newly cleared beds and forked them in. I'll try to get a couple more done after breakfast. Enjoy your day.

Mr. H will be making mushroom omelets for breakfast. Shrimp scampi planned for dinner, but still up for discussion. Other than food, there's not much going on here. I have progressed on my self-taught keyboard playing enough that I've started to look at some more modern keyboards. The one I'm using is a synthesizer that's over 30 years old. Now I'm down the rabbit hole in a keyboard world that I didn't know existed. "Arranger" keyboards are tempting to this amateur songwriter. Still deciding whether I really need 88 keys, many more models available with 61. And do I care about weighted keys since I'm not a pianist? I do care about dynamics.

Just did that pair in a LP SPL for a customer. What did you think? I had the original Gibsons, Some Lollar 50's low winds, and finally the Wolfetones in this guitar over a 12 month span. The Wolftones took it to another level and it became a guitar I like to a lifer guitar I love. Though I did have the foofy boutique wiring harness done at the same time. With that harness there is a lot of high end retained when rolling off the volumes which I like.

It will feel weird at first but if you are primarily playing piano or piano with a string layer on top I bet you'd come to prefer weighted keys. The Casio Privia boards are phenomenal. The Privia Pro PX-560 is solid. They are so light that yes get the 88 keys. All IMO. I enjoy the arranger boards too but that has to really be your goal as in most ways they aren't as realistic feeling or sounding unless you spend the big $$.
