I'm deeply saddened by all of this. How Trump could do this in our country is quite beyond me. Petulant sore loser.. We’ve only been telling you that FOR FOUR YEARS.

The irony of all this, to me, is that these people think they are patriots.

Curfew begins in 75 minutes. Then the fireworks will really start. I heard that an IED was retrieved somewhere on the Capitol grounds.

Chicken shit Trump addresses nation via Twitter.
Twitter puts out warnings that it is full of lies. Enough of that.
Just delete his damn account already.

This is all because of Trump's goading the protestors to go to the Capitol, this morning. They have disrupted the proceedings—he should be removed from under the Resolute desk in the Oval Orifice and clapped in irons for treason. He has sabotaged what is normally a quick and Constitutional procedure. Cruz and Hawley should share a ride with him to the metro jail. The seat of democracy descended into chaos when protestors overwhelmed police and bulled their way into the Capitol, forcing a delay of the joint session of Congress where lawmakers were counting electoral votes that will affirm Democrat Joe Biden's White House victory two weeks before Inauguration Day. Trump offered only a muted response to the violence as loyalists brandishing his paraphernalia clashed with police, occupied the Capitol and even stormed the Senate chamber. Under growing pressure from allies to condemn the violence, Trump tweeted, "No violence!" adding: "Remember, WE are the Party of Law & Order – respect the Law and our great men and women in Blue." The commander in chief did not ask supporters to vacate the area as the unrest continued. At a rally earlier, Trump had encouraged supporters to march on the Capitol and suggested at one point that he would join them on Capitol Hill.

These Trump seditionists hate the press, many appear to be armed, and they have demonstrated that they are willing to inflict violence. Respect for the courage of the journalists covering the rioting at our nation's Capitol.

Y'all know where I stand, but Trump did instruct his fan boys 'to go home, go home in peace.' There ya go.

Mark my words, Trump will proclaim that the protesters were actually antifa posing as his supporters.
I would love to see the insane Donald removed from office for this stunt but then his mob has a martyr. Better to let him dig himself into a deeper hole.

Y'all know where I stand, but Trump did instruct his fan boys 'to go home, go home in peace.' There ya go. But he also complained again, and repeatedly, that the election was fraudulent and "stolen." So Trump is saying, "Don't pour gasoline on the fire, but here's some more gasoline and maybe you'd like some kerosene, too. And here are some Trump-branded matches I'll sell you." Trump needs to be removed from office, now. He doesn't deserve to be president after today, even if he has only a couple of weeks left. He's acted despicably, and anyone who defends him is despicable.

At a rally earlier, Trump had encouraged supporters to march on the Capitol and suggested at one point that he would join them on Capitol Hill. He's not only a liar, but a chickenshit. I tell you, I gave consideration to going to the capital to be an anti-protester. I did my judge stint, because of Trumps disparagement of the election process. But there's no way as a citizen to do anything positive in this.

Is there a word for being depressed and furious at the same time? My emotions are much like they were on 9/11. It's that big a deal.
