Maybe. PBS speculators speculated that he (Hawley)brought up his Pennsylvania complaint during the Arizona debate because he wanted to get a quick explanation out without having lodge a formal objection over Pennsylvania. And thoughts are gathering that Ohio objector senator is planning on dropping his Ohio complaint. Time will tell, but this thing is rolling and there isn't any Trumpian vitriol.
It looks like the Senate is coming together and burying the election hatchet. Perhaps they realized they were playing with matches while wacko Trump is leaking jet fuel.

I was all in favor of gassing the courthouse painters and arresting all they could get their hands on. You weren't paying attention, joe.

Man, Lindsey Graham just ripped Trump good. He was rolling. This might will be over quick.
Sen. Sasse was impressive.
The Senate is giving a good account of itself. It woke up. Finally.

Are they working on a 25th amendment ending? Not enough time in office to complete it.

Fucking insurrection. Shoot the traitors. [...]
I'm am fucking sick in my heart to hear the duplicitous crap all of you spew, right, left and middle.
You can all kiss my fat ass goodbye, I'm sorry I ever heard of this place.
Take care of yourself, Joe. It was good to meet you at IdiotJam.

Joe, you clearly have no idea what I think of the Portland rioters. Living next door to Portland, I’ve seen what they have done to what was once a thriving downtown.
However: I do think attacking and occupying the capital while congress is in session is a attack on America, which justifies my previous response.

Um, generalize much? If you are lurking - I'm disappointed by you, Joe. Get some sleep, come back and either apologize, or defend your use of all.

Fucking insurrection. Shoot the traitors. I think that violence / destruction of property has absolutely no place in protests and political discourse, fucking absolutely never!
Cosmic wonder and epaul both liked your comment. Where the hell was this outrage when this happened:
Don't recognize it? It was the Federal Courthouse in Portland. Insurrection? Shoot the traitors?
Chris Cuomo was fine with it when this shit was going on in June: "Now too many see the protests as the problem. No, the problem is what forced your fellow citizens to take to the streets: persistent, poisonous inequities and injustice," Cuomo told his viewers. "And please, show me where it says protesters are supposed to be polite and peaceful. Because I can show you that outraged citizens are what made the country what she is and led to any major milestone. To be honest, this is not a tranquil time."
When the fucking roosters come home to roost, using exactly what you taught them to do, and NOW you cry insurrection?

This isn’t an airport departure lounge. You don’t have to announce you’re leaving.

I'm only vaguely aware of Qanon, except it's a bunch of wild conspiracy stuff. It appears the woman who was shot and later died is one of 'em. Crazy, crazy stuff.
_______________
The woman shot dead as a mob of President Donald Trump’s supporters violently stormed the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday has been identified by her family as an Air Force vet who was an outspoken supporter of Trump.
Local San Diego news outlet KUSI named the woman as Ashli Babbitt, a San Diego resident who is said to have served 14 years in the military. Her husband, who was not identified by name in the report, described her as an avid Trump supporter. The two are said to own a business together in San Diego, though he did not travel with her to D.C.
“I really don’t know why she decided to do this,” Babbitt’s mother-in-law was quoted as telling Fox 5 DC.
Babbitt supported the violent pro-Trump QAnon conspiracy theory, according to her Twitter account. She quoted “Q,” the anonymous figure behind QAnon, which falsely claims Democrats and other opponents of President Trump are Satanic pedophiles, in an Aug. 21 tweet, writing: “It is going to be biblical - Q.” On Sept. 7, Babbitt posted a picture of herself at a Trump boat parade with the hashtag “WWG1WGA,” a reference to the QAnon slogan, “Where we go one, we go all.”
In total, Babbitt sent 21 tweets referencing the QAnon slogan, starting in February 2020. She also praised major QAnon promoters on the platform, and appeared to embrace conspiracy theories that hospitals are claiming fake coronavirus patients.
Babbitt kept up her support for QAnon just days ahead of the protest. On Jan. 1, she tweeted that she would be in Washington for Jan. 6, adding “WWG1WGA.”
On Jan. 5, a day before her death, Babbitt tweeted references to another QAnon slogan, “dark to light,” and said the United States would soon see “The Storm”—a moment much awaited by QAnon followers, in which Trump would execute his opponents in the Democratic Party.
“They can try and try and try but the storm is here and it is descending upon DC in less than 24 hours....dark to light!” Babbitt wrote.

There are American citizens wearing red hats who, since they aren't getting what they want, have declared open season on America.
Pathetic, sad, entitled and now dangerous people whose brains have been turned to mush by a generation of right wing hate media and a refusal to accept responsibility for their own failure and misery.
Hate, once their hobby, has turned into a calling.
Not a great look, America, but here we are.

I listened to some of the Senators' speeches last night before I went to bed. I found myself wondering if this will be a sobering experience that may dampen the polarization a bit. It sounded like a bunch of reasonable people who ought to be able to cooperate on solving some problems.
Or maybe not.

I don't know what the end game is but I doubt the soundtrack is going to be Kumbaya.

"I don't know what the end game is but I doubt the soundtrack is going to be Kumbaya." I would enjoy seeing a Kumbaya duet with Ted Cruz and Bernie Sanders locking arms.
