Note the change of direction -- change of subject. Don't discuss the fact that democrats want illegal immigration. Discuss the materials with which the wall isn't being built and whether or not steel rusts or rots. Better get James in here to correct the spelling of "their" and make it complete. The racism of the Democratic Party is overlooked and unacknowledged because it comes in the guise of wanting to help those they believe inherently inferior. The racism of the Democratic Party is manifest its audacious claim to be the ones speaking on behalf of groups. The Democratic Party claims the right to elitesplain not only what minorities need, but also what us blue collar hoi poloi who actually work shoulder to shoulder with the minorities think of them. Among other valid points, you slip on a gross generalization. If put in an either/or bucket, I am a Democrat. I do not want illegal immigration. And I am not the exception that proves the rule. So you thought David was calling all republicans racists?

So you thought David was calling all republicans racists? I'll have to go back to see what you're referring to. I noted your comment because I believe you're a thoughtful writer who chooses his words and phrases carefully and purposefully. Also I know you, so I tend to pay attention to what you write, especially since oftentimes you challenge my way of thinking. This also might mean I skim David's posts (sorry David), but maybe I should pay more attention. Or it might mean I'm more likely to jump on something when I think it's characterizing me rather than if it's characterizing someone else.

And I suppose you didn't vote for Biden, right? Because democrats have been pushing for exactly this for years. One, I think that's a gross exaggeration of some D policies. Two, if it was an actual policy of the Ds, I would not support it. Three, there are plenty of positions people far to the left of me support that I do not, and we happen to vote the same way. I know for a fact there are a number of people who found many aspects of Donald Trump repugnant, yet voted for him because they believed he was the person most likely to get some particular goal accomplished.
