I am up for some reason. Might as well start the daily. Consider it started. Now, I will go back to bed.

I will have some coffee first. I have the pot of 15 cups ready. Might as well have 5-6 cups.

Up. We cancelled work for today at about 3 PM yesterday. The wind chill is well below zero and the snow is picking up. We're on holiday break now anyway, but were running child care for twenty some kids. It's just best nobody is out in this crap. I'll fire up the kettle and the computer in a few minutes.
Stay warm. Stay safe.

Good morning. I happened upon this video from almost three years ago, of Mark Dalton of Huss and Dalton Guitar Company. He not only builds world-class guitars, but he's a fine player, too. Here he is playing a Pilgrim model that he built from what he told me was "scrap parts" in the shop.
Have a good one, everybody. Stay warm. Make your old memories come alive (the good ones).

Good morning. I see it's a little on the chilly side in some places.
I'll be having some gum surgery this morning so I can't have any coffee now. It looks like the recovery won't be fun. I got a substitute to take my church duty on Christmas Eve.
Nothing much to report. Stay safe and warm if you can.

My tractor-for-hire showed up at about 2 ayem as I was taking a baffroom break, cleared out the driveway nicely in like 2 minutes, and now the city plow has just come by and left a big ridge at the end to seal it in. But the plowing service monitors the sitch pretty well, so I suspect they will be back out before too long. Not really snowing or blowing at present, and 12-below.
Soldier Field on Sunday -- forecast?

Snowed and blowed most of the night and now its calm and 19 below this morning. I made it an optional day for the crew and most of them decided to stay home. Can't say I blame them.

Up with coffee fully ingested. I have my annual Wellness check up this morning. I have to drive across town these days because primary care doctors come and go around here like rainstorms. I've been here 6 years and this is my 4th primary care doctor.

Technically the last day of work for the year, as we shut down between Christmas and New Year's. But, there are tax returns to be reviewed, so I'll be reviewing them.
Still relatively toasty at 37 degrees, and it's supposed to rain on and off all day. The nasty stuff is supposed to hit around 6:00.

So far the low is 37F. Much better than the -22F in my hometown of Billings, MT, where my brother lives in a mobile home. I may have to check later to see if he's still alive.
I have an orthodontist appointment this morning, strictly routine to check my progress with wire braces for the lower teeth and get a supply of aligners for the upper teeth. Sometime today we need to deliver fudge to 4 neighbors. Mr. H made it yesterday. Then we'll brave the grocery store.
Had a good time at a "happy hour" yesterday. Party at a neighbor's house that we could walk to. A going away for our HOA treasurer, which sort of became a holiday party. Home around 6:00 PM and we watched a Judy Collins Christmas concert from 1997.

No NOT a Good Morning -10F- -3F mostly cloudy. Had to dig the truck out and move it so the snow plow can do its thing. Some people don't move their car and get plowed around. Do that twice and getting your car out is difficult. Porch and walk shoveled. It's cold enough that the snow is dry and fluffy, snow is wet and heavy when it's warmer out. Got to see if the Pharmacy will deliver, I'm out of insulin and don't really want to go out if I don't have to. This will also allow me to get to work. MN in Winter. EDIT: I don't know how many inches we got, any is too many.

Below zero and high winds predicted but the anticipated snowfall has not been as bad as expected. Looks like the Twin Cities got a lot more. Power of the Runestone to divert storms again! Went to see the Lori Line concert at the local performing arts center last night. She is on a midwest tour. I had never seen her live. She is certainly the master of sappy arpeggiated piano and self promotional braggadocio, but a real high energy professional show person. I told Pat that I felt like I'd just chugged a quart of Maple Syrup but still glad I went. Her husband was the MC. Both pencil thin, well toned, perfect hair and impeccably dressed. Candelabra of course. At the end she took requests from the audience, wrote them all down on a piece of paper, (maybe 15 or so) and ripped them off in a medley with key changes, appropriate chords, and interesting transitions without missing a note. That was impressive! www.lorieline.com

14 degrees here, in the land of cheese heads. About 2 inches of snow overnight with some really big flakes coming down. Daughter is working today, the rest of us are just hanging out.
May run into town and see if I can find a couple items I want for our "pig head" stir fry tonight.
