... I worked in DC. Been in the tunnels a bunch. ... Do you realize how often, and at what point in your 'arguments', that you put that kind of puffery out there?

It seems that Summary Judgement is a growing possibility but the likely trial would be far more entertaining. Let’s see some of those bastards squirm on the stand. And a public airing and deliberation of the standards in NYT v Sullivan would be interesting.

Let’s see some of those bastards squirm in the witness box and a public airing and deliberation of the standards in NYT v Sullivan would be interesting. I do too. It's the perfect place to relitigate the entire election fraud thing. Be careful what you wish for.

I don't post much here because I'm not interested in a lot of the topics but just to be clear, I don't believe a word that comes out of a Democrat's mouth because over my life time every thing a democrat told me turned out to be wrong over time. Never trust a democrat with your life, your wife or your wallet always works out for me. Trump 2024 if he runs. Desantis if he gets the slot or whoever does on the Conservative side. Biden is a puppet and Communists are pulling the strings. You Democrats are just dumb. USA forever!!!.

From what I've been able to glean here (admittedly without caring or reading anything) it seems that Dominion is suing Fox because Fox anchors said mean things about them while privately saying they didn't actually believe the things they said. Of course it seems to be entirely driven by soundbites with no context and probably said during the normal course of production planning meetings with staff. Since lawsuits like this are notoriously unpredictable all we've seen so far is Dominion's side and nothing about Fox's defense strategy, I can see them admitting they've changed their minds and start going through all the proof of corruption involving Dominion and their users and making Dominion defend their claims of not being a tool of corruption. "Look here, where did this statistically highly improbable tranch of Biden votes come from?" "What software weakness was involved with allowing this kind of fraud?" "Why didn't you fix it?" "Our expert in this demonstration just flipped an entire county from his cell phone? How did that happen?" If I were Fox, I'd do everything I could to embarrass Dominion and the legitimacy of the whole 2020 election. And since they covered the whole thing in some detail, they probably know where many of the bodies are buried. Should be fun.

And I can see a bevy of Sports Illustrated swimsuit models rushing up to me and saying "Paul, will you please, please come with us to Tahiti and play your trombone for us while we do our shoots?"

Of course, it all goes to hell when I envision asking my wife if it's ok, but hope keeps us going, right Pete?

Well, if this is true, maybe Animal Head Guy will get a new trial. It sounds like his lawyers certainly have the right to ask for one. This will get sorted out. But, if relevant tape was withheld from the defense and the prosecution was aware of this, and I'm the judge hearing the re-trial, Animal Head Guy is walking. -and some prosecutors are getting the severest reprimand I can issue.

I don't trust prosecutors, but I am trusting the system. There is nothing else to trust. Nothing.

And, if I'm judge, I'm not buying any 'national security' argument. Jan. 6 made it clear that the Capital security was horse crap and it all needs to be redone, reconfigured, rethought. With something more than confused mall cops at the door. An organized militia/terrorist group armed with Uzis and explosives would been holding the Capital building complete with hostages within an hour.
So revealing how horsecrap the old system was isn't revealing anything that matters. It's all got to be redone and reconfigured. And if there is ever another group breaking down the Capital doors and busting through the windows, they better receive a far, far different greeting (one that won't require the need for trials).

Trump had recommended calling up the National Guard a couple days before the event but for some reason Nancy Pelosi, who had the authority to do that, didn't. Go figure.

I wonder how many actually watched all the Tucker videos before commenting. I held my nose and decided to. First time I have ever watched him. Observations-
I was surprised to see him continue to suggest quite strongly that the election was fraudulent in light of the leaked conversations.
He has a very annoying angry squeaky little voice.
His cherry picked clips proved nothing but did expose some of the same behavior by Democrats. Case in point, the cowardly Monty Python funny walk flight of Josh Hawley being made to look like a solo effort when in reality he was part of a group running.
His videos of officer Brian S walking around normally were interesting but proved nothing except he was not “murdered” by the mob that day. When your adrenaline is up trauma that shows up a day of two later may not be noticed at the time. That was very common in accident victims we cared for.
I found him an annoying little pipsqueak brush fire starter but then I find folks like Rachel Maddow much the same but maybe a little classier.

My dad, a lifelong conservative Republican, discovered Rachel Maddow in his final years, living in a nursing home. He had the hots for her, and I could never bring myself to tell him she is gay.

What's the difference between "cherry picking" and selecting a segment that proves a point? Is it simply that one proves a point with which you agree, and the other proves a point that makes you uncomfortable? (I ask, as I saw the term "cherry picked" immediately and uniformly used throughout social media referring to this episode)
The freedom of the press you cheered when it assassinated the character of Nicholas Sandmann is the same freedom of the press you're booing as it's trying to prove a corrupt system. The one was, by bullying a teenager, trying to torture a broader point that white America is inherently racist. The other is just maybe trying to speak the truth to power.
This:
...my brother watched the original video of this demonstration, upon which the judge still threw it out as "no evidence" of fraud. Institutions are not corrupted by bad people doing bad things. Institutions are corrupted by every day people doing what they think is best in a given situation -- maybe fearing bad results if they did the right thing. And there was no worse result -- no more existential threat to America -- than another Donald Trump presidential term.
