It rained most of the night. It looks like more is coming. We’ve gone from extreme drought to more rain than normal. The grass has gone from green to brown and now back to green. Enjoy the day. Play some music.

We're at a campground up on the Bruce Peninsula today. Katherine and Lars are stopping out later to show us the sights, then we'll sit around the campfire and look at stars. Tomorrow we'll visit them in Owen Sound before moving on.

LJ, things are stable here. Hot and hotter.
Yesterday I met with my nephrologist and learned that my sodium is in the normal range. That's better than normal for me. The chances of another seizure are very small. I'll be able to drive again by late August unless the Arizona Department of Transportation screws things up. Beer is about the worst thing possible for someone with low sodium so it looks life a permanent change of lifestyle is coming. I didn't expect to be alive this long so I'm not going to whine about that. Well not too much.
It's getting light so I'll take a walk before the day heats up. Have a good one.

Play some music. Heading down to Bloomington, IL for a "Music and Munch" program a friend puts on every year. I hope the rain lets up. I get to play a mini-set. It raises money for a fav charity of his: All proceeds benefit the Therapeutic Arts Program of the Global Alliance for Africa.

David, give those folks a big hug from me. Hard to believe it has been ten years since the Swan Jam I attended.
Wishing all a pleasant Saturday.

Good morning
56F-78F partly cloudy. I see sunshine with a light breeze.
Shop time until noon. Don't know what DaWife has planned for today.

I just wrote a lonk trip report on my bike ride yesterday from Vinton to Garrison. Then as I was trying to send it, it vanished.
You'll have to guess what the report said, I'm not typing it in again.
Off to the Urbana Farmer's market.

I hate it when that happens Paleo. Hopefully you didn’t get rained on by mulberries.
I am off to my monthly breakfast with George. He and I have had breakfast once a month at 218 Ever, since Kim passed away, and I think will probably keep it up forever.

I dropped my OM last night and put a dent in the neck. I was able to steam some of it out but not all. It’s on the underside and my hand doesn’t touch it so I can live with it. It was an “oh shit” moment but every guitar I own has some dings, dangs, and dents in it. Things like that used to bother me. Now, I figure, life goes on. I have dings, dangs, and dents, too. It’s hard to get through life without them. I figure better to do a few myself by accident than to pay extra for someone to do it to a new guitar so it will look like they were done by accident. Think of how much money I saved!

The photograph shows that Tamarack was about 8.5 feet tall. He's shrunk since then.
That was a memorable get-together.

Rainy morning. DIL took the day off work for a family reunion, taking the kidz, so a planned long day with 3 granddaughters isn't happening. Won't be difficult to fill up the time. Workshop time this morning, maybe a bike ride this afternoon if it is less rainy. I have been exploring gravel trails where I can be antisocial and see wildlife.

A fellow can make do just fine and dandy with gin, vodka, and whiskies of various nationalities. (in the heat, I recommend gin and tonic over ice.)

I’m up. Had a fun time yesterday on Dave’s farm. He has about 6 acres, and grows all kinds of stuff. From Japanese maple trees to an assortment of berries, . Which were well represented at the dinner table. We had lattes with desert that were better than anything Starbucks serves, only thing is at midnite last night we weren’t sleepy. But we had a nice time.
Today…nothing much. Might go over to Anita’s Dad’s place and mow the lawn for him. He hurt is back last week and isn’t moving too good. Other than that…

Heading out to brunch at one of Lee County's finer restaurants thanks to a gift card from one of the kids. Then going to see the new Indiana Jones movie. Should be good ways to escape the heat.

Damg. I really dislike having to navigate around Wordle. Maybe we could create a separate thread to post the wordle attempts.
