Thursday has arrived. We are up early because Barb has a pacemaker check early and the early appointment seemed like a better idea when she made the appointment than it does right now at 5:40 AM.
I decided on the IPad 10. I stayed with IPad because I have an IPhone and setting up and transferring data to the new IPad is super easy. One click and it does it all. I like the bigger screen and, I am told, the blue one is the coolest and imparts a coolness vibe upon me. I need more coolness. Cool old guys are desirable at parties. Oh well.
Foggy, smoky, hot, humid, and dangerous to breathe today. Fun times.

Good morning.
I have always thought you were pretty cool, LJ. I also wondered why you were up so early when I saw the daily. I trust all will go well. Regards to Barb.
It's Tisha B'av, the Jewish holiday that remembers the five calamities that have befallen the Jewish people throughout history. It’s a day that’s observed with mourning, prayer, fasting, and refraining from work or personal pleasures. I will do none of those things but will be thoughtful and consider the history of my tribe seriously, as well as sallying forth in 35 minutes for a medical appointment; second opinion time.
Have a good day, everyone, and try to stay out of trouble.

A little bit of the subway, 47th Street and 6th Avenue, I think. I accidentally made it kind of grainy when fixing some issues (mainly geometry), but at least the graininess looks more analog than digital remnants. Anyway, we loved visiting NYC and if we can figure out how to do it on a regular basis we will. And Howard, we won't make you be a tour guide on every visit (just occasionally). We don't want you and family to get sick of us.

Hot with a forecast of Hot today. We're going to the Desert Diamond casino today to drop some money in the slots then have dinner at the steakhouse in the casino (Nineteen86). Usually when I get the urge to go to a casino, I usually just send them a check we stay home.

Good morning. I was up early so that I could be in place by 5 AM to photograph mount Humphreys at Dawn Dawn. I got some pretty good ones, but the experience was the most pleasant part. I’ll participate in my weekly zoom social meeting using Diane‘s laptop since I have nothing with me but this phone. All is well. I hope you have a good day.

No medical appointments for me today. But Mr. H goes to get measured/molded for a crown. He saw the periodontist last week and the post that was implanted months ago is good to go. Chance of rain today. Had quite a thunderstorm and over a quarter inch of rain while we were having dinner out last night. Let up at just the right time or maybe we lingered until it did. Both ordered dessert and decaf. A peanut butter chocolate tart for me and bread pudding for companion. Both had duck, mixed veggies, and a brown rice blend. And half price bottle of wine, which is only on Wednesdays during the summer. That may somewhat account for the place being so busy mid-week in July. www.corktucson.com/_files/ugd/0dbaf7_95df8c6d50ad47be94df58c21ee4605d.pdf?index=trueThe website says that they've been around since 1966. Sort of. Was a Cork and Cleaver, which was a chain started in the 60s. I think the first one was in Phoenix and I vaguely remember going there once. Became Jonathan's Cork in the 80s when the chain sold off. Jonathan recently sold and retired. Now it's just The Cork.

Good morning. I was up early so that I could be in place by 5 AM to photograph mount Humphreys at Dawn Dawn. Wow, 12,600-plus feet. I didn't know AZ had any 12's. Continued hot and sticky here, some relief expected tomorrow. The classical DJ just played Leroy Anderson's "Sleigh Ride," which didn't help much, but was amusing.

Morning!
Final city band concert of the summer tonight. Then we knock off until we start again. (after Labor Day)
Had blood labs yesterday and passed with flying colors. My A1C was 5.6. That Metformin is good stuff. And my Chol/HDL Ratio is 3.1, which would be a good ratio for an over-weight marathoner well out of training, and a great ratio for me. Hooray for Simvastatin! And my BP was 120/76, thank you Losartan!
(won't mention Viagra, but if I did, I would give it a tip of the hat as well!)
I'm a druggie!
(and it's all generics. Thank you, India!)

Hot and humid!
I'm just back inside from picking chokecherries. Not too many this year, but what there is are big and juicy. I'll probably mix what I've got with blackberries and make some syrup. I've made that combo before and it's a great topping for pancakes and icecream.

Good morning, all. Not much to report here. A little workplace drama, but nothing that would be of interest to any of you.
I've lately had several opportunities to plug in with my new Mojotone NC-1 pickups. Man, I love those things! If you need a new pickup, check 'em out.

Good morning 71F-95F partly cloudy.
Lousy night's sleep. Between back pain and the bedroom being just too damn hot even with a fan I could not get more than a hour or so of solid sleep. Tonight I'll sleep in the living room where the AC is. DaWife likes the heat and hates AC if it is actually doing anything so she can have the bedroom. In the Winter a cool house is just fine by me and if I'm a little cold a lap blanket works. She hates the cold and wants the furnace cranked up, that's why I let her pay the electric/gas bill, reality check.
Down to the shop for a while.

Don't worry about that. I had a great time, and I like showing off the parts of my town that people may not have in the tourist literature. There's a lot going on here, and it's a pleasure to hang with friends other than the usual crowd I see all the time. So, any time you're here I'd be happy to spend some of it with you and Erin. Someday, if they ever finish our kitchen, we could have you over and prepare a meal! Wow, wouldn't that be novel?

I made it out of bed by the crack of 7:00. Coffee and Wordle consumed, watched the news on the Telly. Mitch ain’t looking too good, heat dome over the entire world, and UFOs are apparently everywhere. What, me worry?
Mexi lunch with an old fart today, then maybe a nap.

I don't need one, but that pickup sounds interesting. I was just talking today about how those soundhole pickups offer a metalic sound, I'm reading that this one doesn't. Another hot one today. I'm thinking ten minutes for my clothes to dry on the line.

Gotta get in better shape for Glacier. You're going to Glacier? Boy, am I jealous. I've been twice, and I would go back in a heartbeat. I plan to get back there one day, but not for the usual reasons. When I finally got to know my biological parents, I learned that my paternal great-grandmother was full-blood Blackfoot. Their reservation borders the eastern border of Glacier National Park. I've motored through part of the reservation before, but that was before I knew I had some bloodlines there, and I didn't pay much attention. Now I feel like I need to go back.
