Another rainy Monday morning in New York. Breakfast served, lunch made, coffee is good. Off to the office soon. Ugh.
I miss these guys. Have a good day, all.

Good morning. There's no rain here but it's in the 50s, which is cooler than it has been. I have a few chores to tend to today.
There's a lot of gloomy news in the media. Closer to home, several friends have had falls recently. One's in the hospital as a result. Let's all watch where we're going. We're not the fleet gazelles we once were.
Enjoy your day.

Weather Underground forecasts today's temperature range of 12 to 42 degrees, currently -10. Coffee and firebuilding first, then bundling up to shovel the 5 inches of snow we got yesterday. Sunrise will reveal a beautiful landscape.

Up. Coffee. After breakfast I’m off to Costco. We need to buy candy for the goals who will soon be visiting us. And a rotisserie. Chicken will make dinner tonight easy. Have a day, everyone,

It’s 32 & clear right now. It’s supposed to drop to 22 tonight. If this keeps up we will have to turn on the furnace. No big plans today. I want to list a couple things on Reverb so maybe I will try to figure that out.

A sure sign of winter in Minnesota: I just edited a listing of upcoming lutefisk dinners statewide, mostly at churches and American Legion posts, etc. I'll order Chinese instead.

I think the temperature dipped below 50 last night. I'm not ready to turn on the light to find out. Towels are in the washer. We're planning a run to the natural food store to stock up on hot cereals and then to Walmart for various things from eggplant to underwear.

It's going to be a strange couple weeks as my one corrected eye is now seeing at distance very well, but now it's fuzzy to read with that eye (as expected). But with the other eye still undone, none of my glasses work anymore. One lens works for the uncorrected eye, but messes up the corrected eye. Crap. Until the other one is fixed, total vision is still a challenge. The other one gets done next week. That one will be tuned for arms length vision (can't see clearly in the distance, but preserves arms length reading capability. Once both are done, then I need to wait another month before attempting to get new glasses. Lens replacement surgery is not a perfect solution to the natural eye's abilities. Compromises

Morning. Cold and clear. Shop is in kind of a lull. We have stuff to do but the phones are quiet. Things finally slowing down after two years of nuts.

Busy day. Somehow, the Halloween candy I had safely stashed away disappeared. Into less than thin air. So, I will be out and about as I need to re-fill the barrel.

Chilly, snow flurries tonight, possible accumulation tomorrow. Pre-winter outside tasks remain undone.
Successfully set up the iPhone 15, additional expenses today for an OtterBox case (I drop stuff a lot), wall charger, car charger, headphone adaptors, etc. (I drive an antique 2008 vehicle that doesn't have bluetooth but has an auxiliary plug-in, have lots of old but functional headphones)

Glad for another dry motorbike ride into work today. End of the month billing to work on.

Avoided the Otterboxes and got one that has a very nice grippy surface. Have to look up the brand name. I’ve not had the phone slip out of my hand since. Happened not infrequently before.

Fiddlerina finally insisted, with good reason, that I get a backup camera installed. So I had the original radio replaced with a Kenwood DMX system that includes a great backup camera plus radio, satellite radio, Bluetooth, line in, and compatibility features for both Apple and Android phones. I love it. Proper installation cost more than the unit itself but was well worth the money. Installation involves routing wires under all the padding and trim and looks like a factory installation. I plan to get at least another 130K miles in this car so the upgrade seemed worthwhile.
