It's All Hallows Eve. Trick or treat!
And don't ingest too much sugar, grownups.

25 but heading up to a balmy 37 with snow flurries. The frost is not only on the pumpkins, it’s on the grass, the flowers, the houses, and the fallen leaves. Happy Halloween. Wear a scary winter coat.

Off to Nashville to see a show at the Ryman with my BIL, who I like a lot. No one anyone else on the board would be interested in the show, and it's kind of the punchline of a drawn-out joke that we're going in the first place. It's Les Claypool's Frog Brigade covering Pink Floyd's 'Animals' album. They will also play a few other songs, perhaps this one from one of Les Claypool's other side projects. That's Sean Lennon on guitar and lead vocals, and he will be performing tonight as well. The closest I will ever be to a relative of a Beatle.

Good morning, on this 29 degrees and very windy day. I've been very busy, spending a lot of time at the farm during harvest. I just can't resist the opportunity to drive machines that cost a half million dollars, or more, around in a corn field. Corn is all harvested now. With the drought, the yield was down a little this year but 193 bushels per acre is acceptable, and more than I expected. No music practice today so I'll get some errands done instead, maybe.
Have a great day.

It’s my brothers birthday! Called him last night, it’s been too long since we have seen each other. Need to gather the clan, but everyone is busy. Still it was good to talk with him.
Today, I’ll head over to Kaiser for a flu shot and INR. We are now set with candy for tonight’s trick or treaters. Might have over bought, but we will see.

Good morning
27F-36F windy.
Still snowing off and on. The ground and our truck are covered with it, good. The girls think they are going to a haunted house and hayride tonight, we'll see. We have a bag of candy but I very much doubt anyone will come to our door tonight.
I got quite a bit of work done yesterday and am now able to get on with other obligations. Sometimes one has SO much to do that you can't get anything done because it becomes just too much, so one does nothing.

No snow here, although they're saying it could happen. It's definitely cold enough, and the wind makes it even colder. I am not ready for this.

A chilly 36F motorbike ride to work today. Rain is supposed to start tomorrow.
The Portland Trailblazers finally won a game last night. They are very young and athletic. Two or three more years of experience and they might have a winning season. They traded their star, Damian Lillard, to the Bucks where he has a shot at winning a championship. He was great while in Portland and I wish him well.

New holiday song from Pat Donohue! Not sure how to point to a particular FB post, but this morning it was the top post in his FB feed. www.facebook.com/pat.donohue.560

A pleasant 70 degrees this morning going into the upper 80s. I am seeing quite good out of the new eyeball and have converted my glasses to a monocle, so the other eye gets correction. That'll work for the next couple weeks. Trick or Treaters will descend upon the neighborhood tonight. Linda has hidden our candy stash somewhere in the house to keep it from dwindling before the event.

I am seeing quite good out of the new eyeball and have converted my glasses to a monocle, so the other eye gets correction. I'm happy to hear it worked out, Paul. My cataracts never bothered me until I found out I had one, now I can't wait until November 15th. I'm hearing a pretty rigorous eye drop schedule but I can handle that.

The first urchins arrived, three 3-year-olds (guessing) with adults along, of course. I dropped two lollipops into each of their bags, and the third one said "More."
Dad set her straight, and she glumly said "thanks."

So far we have had zero kids show up. To be honest, in 8 years we have had a total of 3 kids on Halloween. That averages out to, well, not much. Now what do I do with the 7lbs of candy I bought??😉
