Good morning. Don't forget to remind the one you love that he or she is dust and will return to dust.
We'll have 40s-60s. Not much planned. Have a good day.

A cousin shared this photo of my great uncle Lee Peters, probably from the 1930s. He was a building contractor in south Texas. He was reportedly very handsome. He looks like he might have hung around with Bonnie and Clyde. His son and my father were best friends and joined the Marines together after Pearl Harbor. I played with his grandchildren when I was a kid.

Good morning. Happy V day. Sunny and cool here in Florida, might make it to 70 this afternoon. Claire suggested we beat the dining out crowds today by dining out yesterday, so that's what we did. Good idea. I bought a new camera that will hopefully be a big upgrade from the phone camera. Now I've just got to wade thought the operators manual to figure out how to work it. Lot's of bells and whistles..... Have a great day folks.

Good morning.
29F-42F mostly cloudy.
Looks like we will get some snow tonight. If it turns out to be a goodly amount we are well stocked and need go nowhere.
I'm thinking scrambled eggs with toast and then down to the shop.

Off to breakfast. I shall order heart shaped eggs. Toast, anyway.

Hope everyone enjoys their VD! (Wait, that doesn't sound right ... ) I am working while a garage door dude replaces the operating system of the lifting mechanism, from springs to some sort of torsion bar arrangement. Bye, bye, $1,000. Meanwhile, my fridge is making awful noises every time the compressor kicks in. And Grandpa just got hit up to subsidize a gymnastic-meet trip in Georgia. This is why we can't have nice things.

Happy Valentine's Day to those who have a loved one with whom to share it. My sympathies to those who have lost their loved one. Happy Hump Day to those who work. And happy Wednesday to everyone.
Can't decide whether to have leftover ham quiche from Monday's dinner or some homemade whole wheat waffles that are in the freezer.
We can still have nice things, but shelled out $2,700 for the plumber and $198 for the alarm company service call. And about to spend $1,600 for drywall repairs. That includes the corner of the garage ceiling that fell and the water damage in the furnace/water heater closet form when a pipe sprung a leak and sprayed the ceiling. The joys of home ownership.

I understand. Our house is my age. It eats money.

Went to the gym, attended Ash Wednesday Mass and soon I will be heading downstairs to my music studio to practice. Bonny and I start our shows next week. Scott and I celebrated Valentine's Day a week ago when we attended the "Rat Pack" show. Although we did exchange gifts this morning. I received gift certificates and he received tickets to the Heart/Cheap Trick concert coming to Milwaukee. He had been hinting for weeks that he wanted to see them. Kind of like Christmas in February over here. I love it!
Have a great day, everyone.

Good morning, all.
We did our Valentine's date over the weekend, but Some flowers will still be delivered today. Don't tell Kathy and ruin the surprise.
We will go to church this evening for the imposition of ashes. I'm giving up carbonated drinks for Lent.
I hope you all have a good day.

Were ashes applied to foreheads on the shape of a heart today?

Good morning. A little mid day exercise hike on tap. Other than that just the typical daily door drama. Nothing special planned for Valentines. Starting to get ready to head to Sedona next week for some R&R

Charlene has been on a no sugar kick of late. So I am being very supportive.
I got her one of those really big heart-shaped boxes of chocolate for Valentine's Day which I will present to her this evening prior to our special dinner (Papa Murphy's pizza). The supportive part is last night I opened it up and removed all the chocolate pieces and replaced them with little nuggets of broccoli, carrots, and cauliflower.
I will be wearing a helmet for the presentation part.
And I did save most of, well, a good portion of, the chocolates.

(and I did buy a couple bags of something called Choc Zero, chocolate treats made with monk fruit instead of sugar. If it goes as planed, wife will be happy and sugar-free while I will get to keep the ones I had pilfered from the box.)

We will be celebrating Valentineβs Day next weekend, when we take a quick jaunt to NYC to see a couple of concerts and maybe a show or two. We will be touring the Statue of Liberty on one of the days. Before then I have a work trip to FL. Fun.
