Moderate leaning libertarian conservative.
One needn't be on social media long to see the leftward slant of the algorithms. It's the water the entire culture swims in. More often, progressive thinking believes itself to be moderate, and conservative knows itself to be counter culture.

Moderate.
Why didn't it tell me I'm a knuckle-dragging troglodyte?

Why didn't it tell me I'm a knuckle-dragging troglodyte? Because it doesn't know you as well as we do.

Hard libertarian real close to the conservative boundary.
For whatever that matters.

Well, I got "You are a moderate." I'll let y'all decide if you agree with your score.

Progressive. But we already knew that. For once I'd like one of these quizzes to tell me what I don't know.

I answered a lot of "Maybe." I don't do well with simple responses to complex issues.

“Oh I used to be disgusted Now I try to be amused Since their wings got rusted Now the angels want to wear my red shoes.”
Pretty well sums up the state of politicos today.

You misspelled "Disgusted." Where is spell check when you need it to correct typos?

I'm moderate leaning toward progressive. I already knew that. I'm also disgusted. I like politicians who are at least willing to consider compromise. there are few of those.

I agree on both counts. Unfortunately, many voters see a willingness to compromise as a lack of principle that merits removal from office.

It's the water the entire culture swims in. More often, progressive thinking believes itself to be moderate, and conservative knows itself to be counter culture. Every culture has a water in which it swims. And in every culture bigger than, say, a village or a clan there are currents and countercurrents. The culture I grew up in was a mixture of moderate Republicans and Democrats (leaning toward the GOP, then and there), Christian (Catholics allowed, Jews side-eyed but not openly persecuted), and heteronormative, among other things. The culture that surrounded me (off-campus) in grad school (different there/then) was redneck-conservative, fiercely heteronormative, and suspicious of Catholics (not really Christians) and hostile toward anybody darker than I was. (I'm pretty pale.) Times change, places remain variable, and presumed norms are all over the place. The public expressions of these norms are subject to all manner of pressures and fashions and market forces, but, as Wallace Stevens suggested, the squirming facts exceed the squamous mind. BTW, that silly quiz identifies me a progressive, though I can point to all the places where my particular and precise notions don't quite fit the three click-stops on offer. And that's before we get to the design of the questions themselves. Which is why I have very little patience with phone surveys that are attempting to map public opinion--my answers are most often "It depends."

Unsurprisingly, I scored as progressive. In the first chart I was left of every pink dot. The only dot in the article left of me was the concocted ChatGPTLeft bot.
Still, we are all far more nuanced in our views than the study allowed for.
