Good morning, everyone. I think I'll get an overdue haircut. As David Radtke reminded us, we should only do one thing per day or we'll get in trouble with the codgers' union, so I'll probably stop with the haircut.
Have a good day.

Good morning, y'all. Selling one of my boats hopefully today, but the buyer coming from Macon, GA has been silent for the past 24 hours. Probably means he isn't going to show up. Looks like I will be working in the garden then.

Good morning. Looks like a nice weather day here in Florida. I'm going to mow the lawn and then retreat into laziness. Have a great day.

Raining and warm in Brooklyn this morning. The market and the pharmacy are calling to me, so there will be some errand-running and then some more reading of rock photographer Bob Gruen's memoir. He has led a very interesting life.
Wishing everyone a good day.

Good morning. 41F-60F sunny. I have plenty of things to do today. I'll start with a visit to my clinic for INR and other Labs. Then to the grocery store for a few thigs we need. And finally down to the shop to finish up on a National electric. Why do the best things always have to come last. If you're sick get better. If you're not sick stay that way. If you're LJ, eat a cookie and shut up. Now I need a shower. Being kind to the nurses.

Rainy and cold again.
Waiting for a tow vehicle to deposit our daughter's dead vehicle at our curb. Broke down in our driveway last week. It is unrepairable - timing chain slipped, valves and pistons ruined. A replacement engine would cost far more than the vehicle is worth. For those keeping score, this is the second blown engine we have had in recent years, and the third of our daughter's vehicles to be junked.

Rocky gets his 3 weeks checkup on his eye surgery today. The recovery is going very well and we should be able to reduce his drops protocol after today.
Eric got us another gig for May 30th. Same place as before, the Sun City Festival Wine Social. It pays $300, so it's worth it. We have developed a bit of fan base there now.
He's quitting his other band in May. Apparently he will be joined by the drummer and their female singer. I guess the band leader is both a real jerk and crappy guitar player. I don't know him personally, but I've heard them a couple times and do agree he's a pretty ordinary guitar player.
Our other daughter Traci is coming for a visit for a week mid May.

Doing a little more family history research, I discovered an island off of Manhattan was owned by my 8th great-grandfather (and relations) from 1687 to 1762. It's now playing fields and parks, I believe. It's the "Wards" part of Randalls and Wards Island. The islands have a long an interesting history. I'd like to visit sometime.

Holy smokes, John. Your ancestors owned the island? I have been there for baseball games. A couple with whom we are friends here in the building lost a son many years ago, who was a star baseball player in university, and before the pandemic they would host an annual memorial baseball game.

Ran tech (sound and lights) for the musical last night. I was one busy beaver running 16 mics and the lights. Today we do costumes (and I re-aim some lights). Start dress rehearsals next week with shows Thurs, Fri, Sat. I think it will work!

Yesterday I assisted Mr. H in installing an additional light in the kitchen. Today he wants to install another one. There's already enough light in there to make it look like the mother ship has landed. As his eyesight slowly gets worse, the house gets brighter. In between assisting, I've been trying to get the house cleaned up. Dirt and clutter are becoming more visible.
Maybe a grocery run later.

PT went well. I got down & up the stairs, in the passenger seat of the car, and out on the front porch a couple times. Confidence booster. Of course, I am tired now but I still feel good.

It should be a short workday. I think I will spend some time searching for my dream home, or at least a comfortable home further from suburbia.
