Good morning.
On today's schedule for me: a haircut. I may have them all cut.
Enjoy your day.
On edit: Last night we had dinner out at a fantastic Chinese restaurant in the East Village, with two friends. Then we attended the Honky Tonk Angels show by The Loser's Lounge [ www.loserslounge.com/ ], at Joe's Pub (attached to the Public Theater, named for the late Joe Papp). It was a great deal of fun.

Good morning, folks.
"On today's schedule for me: a haircut. I may have them all cut."
Howard, I see that you're sampling all the excitement that retirement has to offer.
I may go wander through the desert for a while and say hello to some rocks and thorns. Enjoy your day.

Being retired, you can experiment with haircuts now. Maybe a Mohawk or having your initials put on the sides. Some kind of spring pastel dye job, perhaps.
Bright & sunny out there. It’s a bit chilly but I will take the sunshine.

Sunny and chilly, chilly weekend ahead.
Hoping to get rid of daughter's dead car today, and start the unpleasant task of finding a replacement vehicle that a single Mom who works as a nurse aide can afford. Not gonna get another Equinox, and avoiding CVT transmissions (which auto manufacturers are trying to foist off on us). I hate cars.

Good morning. Slow start to the day but I'm gradually getting moving. Nothing really planned so I guess I'll take advantage of my retirement and do whatever I feel like doing whenever I feel like doing it. Have a great day.

Sunny here today.
The military strike on Isfahan, Iran yesterday brought back a lot of memories for me.
46 years ago, April 1978 I was staying at a small, French Colonial hotel on the Zayandeh River, in Isfahan. It was a beautiful spot with lots of trees and parks along the river.
I was working at the, then new, Khatami air base, home of Iran's Grumman F-14s. I was working on the F-14s. At that time the Air Base was 10 miles out in the desert.
Memories of times left behind

Today has not been the best day and it’s early yet! The inability to walk or do any of a thousand simple things is taking a toll. I am doing my best to stay positive but today it isn’t easy. I have at least 3 weeks more before I can start to put any weight on my ankle and, this morning, it seems like forever. An off day, perhaps. I realize it is temporary and there is more time behind me than ahead in dealing with this but today is starting off as a real pisser. I guess I am feeling sorry for myself a little, which I try not to do. I am thankful for Barb and how she has tirelessly and without complaint done so many things to help me—things that a few weeks ago I hadn’t even considered. She says I don’t, but I know I owe her big time. Anyway, I may take a break for a while and try to deal with reality, or, my version of it.

Good morning.
33F-42F mostly sunny.
We have a small plaque in the kitchen that says "Martha Stewart Doesn't Live Here. Get Over It."
Yesterday I started doing just a bit of Spring cleaning in the kitchen because we put that new cupboard in there and it turned into a major chore. So today I'll be finishing up on that and then start on the dining room. Usually I'll just give stuff a wipe down but I started running everything through the dishwasher or a serious hand washing. We have loads Knick knacks that the kids and grandkids made in school, I washed them all. One piece of glazed pottery is a really ugly clown, but on the bottom it's signed Kaiah so it's a keeper. Another is a crayon drawing of two stick people on the fridge. One with long red hair and the other dark hair with a pony tail, grandma and Papa done by Ayana.
Now I have to go feed the neighbors cats.

I hope the next few weeks pass quickly and you can move on to new, different frustrating challenges. Thank goodness for Barb, thank goodness for a good prognosis (I hope), and I really hope today gets better. Don't spend too long in reality.

LJ: It must seem daunting from your perspective but there will come a day (sooner than you may feel) when you will be healed and mobile again. Keep in mind that your friends here are all cheering you on and that you have the best home care person you could wish for.

Good morning. On today's schedule for me: a haircut. I may have them all cut. Da-a-a-ad... (eyeroll) I asked for a discount from my barber because I have so few hairs for him to cut. He told me that most of what he charges me is a finder's fee.

Good morning

Here in Minnie, it can't decide whether it wants to snow or rain, chilly and windy, but the weekend looks sunny and warmer, 40s and 50s.
I'm working my usual Friday half-shift, which allowed me to spend the morning shopping at Trader Joe's and picking up lunch and coffee at Culver's (Reuben, hold the dressing, add mustard, plus broccoli cheese soup, duh).
It would appear that Trader Joe's has discontinued their very acceptable boxed pinot noir, which is a bummer. For the same price I can get the terrific Shania monastrell at Morelli's, but that's 8 miles away vs. four for TJ's.
The crosses I bear!

This is Gladly. We used to sing about him in church, "Gladly, the cross-eyed bear."
