...the 2007 version of our Holiday Music page. There is no deadline, as long as you keep sending I will post them. I just wanted to get all of you thinking about it. As always, I will accept mp3's, wav, aiff or even cassette tape if that is what you use. Also, if you are around the south suburbs of Chicago, let me know and you are welcome to pop on by and I will take care of all the details, letting you just play Take Care, Gene

Gene,
Again, thanks for doing this and things such as this. I'm enjoying the IJ songs and I'm sure I'll enjoy these as well!

Is anyone ever really ready? Don't you ever get tired of folks coming up to you and saying, "Hey there (Your name here).....are ya ready for Chistmas?" Ten to one, they're not ready either..... I have a version of "Angels We Have Heard on High" that my partner and I recorded last week.....Norman and Clark's page is at www.soundclick.com/bands/pageartist.cfm?bandID=769384Mr. Hammond mentioned this to me earlier.....we'd be happy to share.

My real name is Mars Hall.
I'ev got a wierd little musical tid-bit thing that I've thought might make an interesting Christams song.
I don't know if there's time write it and put it together.

Gene, I know I'm coming in late on this. Where are you posting them? Are there any guidelines?

Gene, I know I'm coming in late on this. Where are you posting them? Are there any guidelines? Right now, there isn't a web page designed, but all you have to do is e-mail me an mp3 of your musical contributions and I will take care of all the details. There are no real guidlines, except the file should be an mp3. If you cant make an mp3, please just send me the wav file and I will convert it. If you do not have anyway of making a digital recording, then just make a recording to cassette and let me know so I can get you an address you can mail the tape to so I can digitize it. If you do not have anyway to even record yourself, and are in the Chicagoland area, let me know and you can come out to my place and I will gladly record you. Take Care, Gene

Gene, I appreciate your generosity, but I have what I need for the recording and conversion to mp3.
I'm assuming this is all Christmas music & that there will be a site for the group's submissions.
On another forum I submitted a couple and have a few more that I plan to submit. (Is cross-forum posting tacky?) That still leaves other songs that I'd like to do, and was pleasantly surprised when I saw that you guys are apparently doing the same type of project. (What can I say, I like Christmas music.)
So if I'm on the right track, I'll get a few mp3's together over the next week or two and email you.
ps: Is there a preferred bit rate?

...(Is cross-forum posting tacky?) Nope, Music is Music. So if I'm on the right track, I'll get a few mp3's together over the next week or two and email you. Sounds just fine ! ps: Is there a preferred bit rate? 128 - Good 160 - Better 192 - Best ;D This was an example of a previous Holiday Season... www.ehmz.org/ttt/

Gene, Not sure if I'll be able to submit anything this year but I'm sure looking forward to this year's offerings. I noticed that last year's website is still up too.

Nice page Gene.....good job. After listening to Angels, I need to up my recording levels some.....not much signal to work with.
How does bit rate affect the mp3? What I sent was 128 bit (which is what SoundClick required), and I saw where you told FP that 192 was best.....
