The American people “should be extremely happy and grateful” that the crisis he created didn’t turn out as badly as it could have.
So far.
Great job!

You do not know what Hillary would have done if faced with the same information Trump was faced with. I don't know, you don't know, not even Hillary can know. We do know that two administrations had Sulieman on a "should we hit him or not" list and decided against it. We do not know what new information was presented to Trump that caused him to follow his advisors recommendation to move Sulieman from the "should we hit him or not" list to the "hit him right away" list. We don't know. We do know that Hillary is and has always been one of the more "hawkish" Democrats of the last twenty years or so. We also know that Iran has been "stepping up" its military action, interference and subterfuge in the region and directing all three against our interests and allies, a "stepping up" that can be fairly described as "emboldened". What we do not know is what "new" information about Iran and its plans was presented to Trump. And we also do not know how another president, in this specific case, Hillary Clinton, would have acted given the same information while seated in the same chair. Hate can displace reason, but it shouldn't. I DO know that Hillary - or any other functioning adult- would have asked, “ OK, what comes after we do this?” You think Trump bothered to pause and ask that basic question?

“A man you can bait with a tweet is not a man we can trust with nuclear weapons.” No duh, Hillary! Things are working out great, though. PS- Hillary was never my first choice. But I would have, then and now, voted for a sewer rat over Trump. Good for you. That and a quarter might buy you a cup of coffee. Yep. There are not enough quarters, however, to buy an explanation for how what the world is going through tonight is good for anybody, anywhere. This did not have to happen. It would not have happened if Hillary or ANYBODY else was in the Oval Office. We are in a crisis that will not end well. We are in a crisis created by fools who thought that- somehow- this malignant con man might be a... President? Jesus Christ on a Chimichanga! Feel free to explain why the current state of affairs Is better than having any sentient 12 year old making foreign policy decisions.

The Secretary of State referred to this kind of retaliation as “a little noise” and the President said “if it happens, it happens.” I would like to take this opportunity to let it be known that I voted for Hillary F@@@ing Clinton. F@&$k Trump and his nitwit supporters. Welp, no news there. “A man you can bait with a tweet is not a man we can trust with nuclear weapons.” No duh, Hillary! Things are working out great, though. Trump, tonight, to NY Times, on the possibility of Americans dying as a result of Iraq retaliating:
“If it happens, it happens.”
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The same conservative and Republican geniuses who supported Bush/Cheney are now cheering on an even worse foreign “policy.”
Hard to imagine them being even dumber than last time, but here we go again.

We are “absolutely” safer. Except expect “a little noise,” maybe.
Sec of State on his statement that America is "absolutely" safer today after the killing of Soleimani, on Meet the Press, today:
"We do expect retaliation on American citizens, correct?"
"It may be that there's a little noise here in the interim."
No more endless stupid wars. Did anybody here buy that particular con?

Trump is literally threatening to commit war crimes in tonight’s unhinged and badly spelled Tweets.
WAR CRIME
"Making the clearly-recognized historic monuments, works of art or places of worship which constitute the cultural or spiritual heritage of peoples ... the object of attack"
Geneva Convention Protocol I (also: U.S. Department of Defense, Law of War Manual, 5.18)
Somebody please do the right thing, and send in the men with the nets.

In a world that changes by the minute, it’s good to know that you can reliably predict Trump golfing as he sends more troops into harm’s way.

It's the audacious sense of entitlement to the office that has the Democrats incapable of seeing the issue from any angle but their own. They cannot accept the obvious -- that the previous administration illegally infiltrated the Trump campaign in ways that make the whole Watergate break-in laughably quaint. And it's not enough that they can's see the crime in that, they actually see crime in wishing to expose it. Archibald Cox is a hero, but Barr is Satan incarnate. Audacious would be continuing to type such nonsense without a scintilla of actual proof.

Our intelligence supports that this was a good idea. Necessary, even. This is what they are telling us. The same “they” that have been ignoring or sneering at our intelligence community, it’s conclusions and recommendations for the past three years? Alrighty then!

Apparently Trump's doing better than the crew who headed up Benghazi. However he managed that is great. Embassies under siege are always a good sign. Nobody died - yet? Bonus! Now Trump can go back to golfing and Tweeting. So focused! Winning!

Look for the GOP to demand multiple Benghazi-like investigations into what went wrong. Trump, as always, is focused, Tweeting as our diplomats are under siege: "The Democrats will do anything to avoid a trial in the Senate in order to protect Sleepy Joe Biden, and expose the millions and millions of dollars that “Where’s” Hunter, & possibly Joe, were paid by companies and countries for doing NOTHING. Joe wants no part of this mess!"

Can you provide more info on the Obama administration's quid pro quo with foreign countries for political favors and personal gain, and collusion with 2 foreign governments to influence the election? I'm not questioning your veracity. At the moment, though, I'm unable to to recall what you're talking about. Thanks. The outrage over the alleged witholding of aid to Ukraine is being felt by folks who didn't care that Obama withheld it while Ukraine was actually invaded and Crimea fell. But Biden was part of the Obama administration. Turns out he was actually vice president at the time he was using aid as a threat to manipulate Ukraine to the Obama administration's will....and giving contracts of millions to his son's company. And it was the Clinton campaign that was working with Steele and Russia to come up with opposition propaganda to use against Trump. Then the Obama administration actually dared to use that fake document -- acquired by the DNC and Clinton -- to get a warrant to spy on the Trump campaign ... wire tap them, send spies in with recording devices ... the whole nine yards. In testimony this week, Horowitz definitively refuted that talking point, noting that the Steele information “played no role” in the opening of the Russia investigation code-named Crossfire Hurricane.
So, did the IG perjure himself the other day? No.
The radical act of investigating a Presidential campaign was prompted by the uncomfortable fact that there was ample evidence that said campaign was playing footsie with the Russians.
Had Comey not made his big announcement a week before the election, Hillary would have won, and the right would be in year three of screaming about Benghazi.
Re: Obama, you are simply being lied to.

Ben Sasse is a "never-trumper" No. He is not.
Young Ben claimed to be for a while, sure.
This is a never Trumper: Republicans are making a concerted effort to mislead. “High Crimes and Misdemeanors” is pointedly NOT about statutory crimes. In fact, the Constitution doesn’t provide for impeachment for ordinary crimes; they must be “high.” Impeachable wrongdoing must relate to abuse of office.- Justin Amash
Only Justin Amash among all elected Republicans has stood up long enough to say Never Trump and mean it.
He got kicked out the the party.

One of the most telling facts about the whole Trump impeachment thing that has taken 4 years and is currently culminating in these hearings is that those testifying, the Democrats, many Republican politicians, the press, those involved from the previous administration, as well as the life-time employees who make up Washington government were all saying that Trump was an existential threat to our government before they ever had a scandal to attempt to prove that assertion with. They saw him as that threat while he was still campaigning in 2015, and said so. That's because it was true then and remains true now.

How many of Trump’s former top bobos and/or coffee boys are watching these events from prison?
I have lost track.
