Yeah - I'd love to find one of those under the Christmas tree.
As a guy that's made a living selling lumber and milling of lumber it's always been interesting that the prices these higher end archtops bring is so much higher than flat tops. Yes they are harder to make but I have a hard time believing they are 15K harder, but I guess I don't really know. I'm guessing that's a simply(and beautifully) adorned 20K+ guitar?

I've never tasted chicken, but I'm told it tastes like rattlesnake spotted owl.

I don’t know if Trump plans to run for president again, but I think he wants to keep that a viable option until the time comes to make the decision. In his playbook being relevant and in the discussion is key. I think that’s what this is about and why the timing is weird.

Morning. Snow is about off the pasture so the annual piling and raking of poop is about to commence.

I’d say “just you wait because they’ll be infesting North Dakota next!” But after thinking about it, they probably won’t be.

Mike this one www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09DP7JLC9/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1I love it but it's early days. It cooks a lot like cast iron where low to mid burner heat yield a nice hot pan with even heat everywhere. The value won't be determined until the lifespan of that non stick surface is known. So we'll see. We have a bunch of relatives visiting this summer and I'll need to do some large batch cooking for groups so picked this up

I remember my first trip to Montana. I was in college. I was with two buddies in a peanut bar in Fargo called John Barleycorn. It was closing time. We were talking about Spring. And in the moment, we decided we wouldn't wait for Spring to come to Fargo, we would drive to Montana where we were sure it was waiting for us. (beer was involved) We filled every pocket we had with free peanuts and then hopped in Carl's '62 Ford and took off for Montana with the radio cranked. We drove through the night stopping only for eggs and hash browns at a truck stop somewhere. We hit Montana about the time the sun was rising. We drove around a little. Had a nice breakfast in Glendive, maybe about 20 miles in. Didn't see any mountains, but it did feel springlike. Then we turned around and drove back to Fargo, radio cranked. "It's a sheep My Lord in a flatbah ah ah ahdd Ford slowing down to take a look at meeeeee....."

I spent about seven hours at the end of one December in a small train station in Shelby, Montana waiting for an extremely late Amtrak train to Chicago. I ventured out a few blocks to a convenience store for some sustenance for wife, grandson, and self. My pants were too thin for the cold and the wind and I got a chapped ass. Be sure to dress for Montana. ...and you didn't get your ass kicked by rednecks or mauled by a wild animal? Huh. That's odd.

That looks good, Steve, even WITH the whole mushrooms (not my favorite, but OK in moderation). By the way, how do you like the pan? So far so good. It cooks similar to cast iron so low steady heat gives good results and even heat across what is a large pan. It is supposedly oven safe to 500. Light and easy to clean. Handles stayed cool cooking this dish.

First day back from vacation. We split 10 days between Sedona Az and Moab Ut and driving to and from. The routine was foofy early breakfast, hike, foofy lunch, nap, read by the pool, foofy dinner, take a scenic drive, early to bed. Or, as Cornflake likes to call it: Thursday. I would just like to take a moment to illustrate below why either of these two fine states would be a wonderful place to relocate to should you be so inclined. Bear Mountain Sedona Corona Arch Moab

Last night was the first night home after 10 days away and I had a new Hexclad pan delivered so decided to christen it. I grilled some some sweet Italian sausage brats on the Weber then chunked them up. Put some chopped up yellow bell pepper, sweet onions, shallots, cauliflower and some whole mushrooms and garlic petals in a bag with olive oil and merquen seasoning. Threw that in a pan and when about half done dropped the the sausage chunks in. Kind of a mixed grill thing. Reaaaalllyyy good.

I love to cook and an air fryer tempts me but I’ll try to resist. I recently picked up an enamel Dutch oven and large Hexclad pan and lid to replace my big electric skillet which finally started losing its no stick coating. Things are getting cramped in the cabinets. Probably stay old school for awhile yet.

Morning. Leaving Sedona this morning and heading to Moab for a few days then home. Lots of hiking and expensive food. Been a fun trip. Too many people though. This town is stressed.

In for a few hours then home to quickly pack then head out. We decided to leave mid day today and will have a soak and lunch at Jackson Hot Springs then drive an hour our two down I15. Everybody enjoy your weekend. Won't the fucking horse get lonely without you? As it happens I have a step second cousin in law who has a temporary assignment to the post office in Darby who happens to be one of those crazy horse chicks. She gets a place to stay and we get to go to Arizona without the horses.
