Gardening like a son of a bitch. Everything is all ready to do all at once. So far: mowed lawn, watered greenhouse, planted three lily bulbs and four "outside" tomatoes.

The Taco Bell in Grand Forks has just come out with a triple cheese chipotle burrito, your choice chicken or chicken. Very tasty!

I was picking up some pepper plants at my favorite nursery a couple days ago when one of these pulled in... Black, Shiny, Beautiful. I spent some time chatting with the owner. His grandfather found the car. His dad started the restore. And he just finished it. The car was showroom. 1959 was the first year Chevy made the El Camino and they only made 22,246. No one knows how many are still rolling, but there's one in Grand Forks. On a related rare car note. Near as I've been able to determine, there are three Evening Pearl Honda CR-Vs in Grand Forks. And every time we happen to pass each other we give each other a big wave. In a couple years there might be an Evening Pearl CRV behind every bush, but for now, WE GOTS A CLUB!

Morning!
A welcome break from that string of lovely sunny days; it's cool and cloudy with a light drizzle.

Maybe not precisely what you had in mind, but here is an example of multi-generational housing. There are four generations of youngsters in this tank and they are getting along swimmingly!

Off to Mayville, ND this afternoon for the season wrap for the Second Wind Band. City Band has its summer series of concerts, so I won't be adrift and without purpose.

I gently hold the slide between my thumb and first two fingers. It is important to keep this grip very loose and relaxed as for certain fast position changes there are times you need to play slide toss and catch between your thumb and fingers. In all instances, it is a relaxed wrist that controls the fine movements of the slide.

Incidental, I just watched Jeff Daniels in a Netflix (or Prime) western revolving around the efforts of a reluctant gunfighter to stay hidden from his former, and set on revenge, gang. Daniels played a bearded bad guy; a crazed looney who would pray for his victims before shooting them. He was wonderful!

Which he hasn't. He is a guitar player, a singer, a songwriter, a band dude, and an actor. And, while I don't know this for sure, he strikes me as the kind of fellow that plays trombone, as well.

Morning.
2nd lawnmowing of the year on tap today. Or tomorrow. If I weren't concerned about the flowers, I would just get a goat and be done with it.

That is one beautiful guitar. Cropped so that the image was comprised of only the guitar neck against the window, that would be quite a photo!.

... By the time I am semi-normal, I will have invested at least 18 weeks in my recovery. That’s a long time. And it goes by slowly... I am getting closer, but I still can’t reach the cigar. If you have gone 18 weeks without that cigar, why not stop using it as motivation and just quit the things?

It was interesting that his vision of a two-state solution pictured the Palestinian state as being a demilitarized state. Would Israel, the other part of his envisioned two-state solution, also then become demilitarized? Or would just one state of this two-state solution he supports be allowed the right to having an army, weapons, and a means of defense?
If the latter, that doesn't sound like a two-state solution. It sounds like something that would be part of a 'one and a half' state solution, a deal created by Israeli interests that from inception favors Israel's interests. Does such an arrangement fly? If so, how long?
Is the "demilitarized" part just sugarcoating to sell the deal? A coating that would dissolve once swallowed?

Morning.
Slow drizzle, which is always welcome... well, nearly always. Not welcome when hay is cut or barley is lying in the swath. But, right now, very welcome. So far, an ideal spring moisture deal. A series to light, steady rains in the last couple weeks totaling 2.35". Perfect!
The Second Wind Band is on the road today with a concert in Hatton, ND.

They had Ant, but they were without McDaniels (who broke his hand punching a wall) and Naz Reid who had a wrist injury.
All these players are marvelous to watch, but Ant and Jokic are especially so.
It irks me when people who pay no attention to pro ball disparage it by saying no even tries until the last two minutes and that there is no defense. They have no idea what they are talking about. Watch the defense in any of these playoff games (or the Wolves all season long). It is intense and fierce. And watch someone like Joel Embiid, all 7 foot and 280 pounds of him, playing with a torn meniscus in one leg and a calf injury on the other diving flat out and leaving skin on the hard floor to try get a loose ball, and then try convince yourself that they don't care and just want the bucks. Once that whistle blows, they are ballers playing flat out for pride, team, for all they are worth (which, granted, is an incredible amount, but that's all forgotten when the whistle blows...)
Ok, maybe not all of them all the time, but most of them most of the time for all they worth giving all they have. In all pro sports. Once the game is on, they are on. Old vets become young stallions again.
