Interesting. I just can't relate to the concept that the earth is dying. Our time on the planet is probably numbered. But the planet will go on. Life of some sort will go on. There's water and sunlight that will shine for millions of years yet. The atmosphere will change. Flora and fauna that utilize that energy will come and go. Even if an asteroid hits earth the planet will adjust. Yes we should be concerned for our own long term health and safety. But the planet will do fine no matter what we do. It'll adjust and move on. Have you seen some of the recent articles to the effect that martian life may have killed itself--made the planet uninhabitable?

My dad died in bed at home (with his third wife, he'd buried the first two), the day before his 97th birthday. Tho he was somewhat forgetful and hard of hearing, I hope I have his genes.

Just got up from my afternoon nap. I went down late because Charlie Parr dropped by to pick up his Gibson B-25-12 I've been working on for like ever. He did not bring in the Gretsch Spider John gave him but will be back next week with it. He did show me photos he had taken of how they put 12 tuners on a headstock made for 6, OMG. I will report then and have some photos. I wonder if anyone anywhere has tried to string up a six as a twelve by putting two strings on each peg.

Beautiful weather, out for a ride this morning, low 60s when I left, touching 70 when I got back. Hardly any wind. Was reading about dylan and originality:

Oh, gimme a freaking break. Culver's is one of the most healthful fast-food eateries there is, offering sides such as veggie-laden soups, salads, steamed broccoli, and tons of nutritional data on their websites. Well, the pic in your OP--based on its nutrition/fats/salt data you say to share it with someone? How many people do that? Or that curd burger, above?

A blonde boards a plane, flying economy...
Once the plane has taken off, and the seatbelt signs have turned off, she gets up, takes her stuff, and moves a few rows forward to an unoccupied first class seat.
One of the cabin crew approaches her, and politely says "excuse me madame, but you can't sit here. This is a first class seat, and you've only paid for an economy seat. I must kindly ask you to return to the seat you paid for."
She looks up at the attendant, and quite pompously announces "I'm young, I'm beautiful, I'm flying to Los Angeles, and I want to fly first class, so I'm not moving."
The attendant retreats, somewhat flustered. He speaks to the cabin chief, who approaches the woman and tells her the same thing: "madame, please return to the seat you bought."
The same response... "I'm young, I'm beautiful, I'm flying to Los Angeles, and I want to fly first class. I'm not moving."
The cabin chief speaks to the cockpit crew. The copilot smiles and says, "don't worry - I'm married to a blonde, I know how to speak to them." He calmly gets up and approaches the woman, asking her to move. Same response. Then he bends down and whispers something to her, whereupon she promptly gets up, takes her belongings, and returns to her original seat.
The cabin crew are stunned. The chief approaches the copilot and asks, "what the hell did you say to her?!"
"It's quite simple really. When she said she was flying to Los Angeles, I said: yes madame, but you see, first class isn't going to Los Angeles, only economy is."
Two blondes are walking through a forest and come upon some tracks.
"Those are deer tracks" says the first blonde.
"No, those are rabbit tracks" says the second blonde.
They kept arguing until the train hit them.

Congrats--That seems to be 15mph, which is a really good pace! Ebikes are your friend, at a certain age. Mike Not quite two (very windy) hours this morning, averaged 20.1kph/12.4mph. (moving speed)

Back from the bike ride. Only ten miles, 40 minutes, but it gets the blood flowing. If I could do that 5 or 6 days a week, I might feel semi healthy. Mike Congrats--That seems to be 15mph, which is a really good pace!
