Back in the day when we went over to Wyoming for Mike Dowling’s Yellowstone camp and his in-home lessons, we took that drive often. But never got into Cheyenne itself. But it’s mostly about the drive to get there if you go through South Dakota.

I got one of these yesterday and I am very impressed. So easy to use and all frequency searching is done automatically. Plug it in and play. Totally transparent sound from what I can tell.

Getting our current home ready to put on the market. Have done a few minor repairs ourselves. The exterior paint job that we had done this week looks great. Now have the estimate for the interior paint job. Yikes! Almost $6,000. Another $1,000 to include the garage. We are not capable of doing it ourselves due to age and joint problems, not to mention Mr. H's poor vision. Haven't decided yet. We're having a realtor come buy in about a week to take a look at the house and advise us on what we need to do to make the place saleable. Maybe we'll just do some touch-up ourselves. Definitely need to replace some worn carpet. The painting quote assumes that old carpet is torn out and the place is completely empty, so planning is important.
The dilemma is how much money to put into this place, knowing that we won't get it back. How much do buyers care about cosmetics? Yes, we were recently buyers ourselves, but that doesn't make us any smarter about what other people look at.
We faced that same dilemma ourselves when we were putting our WI home on the market. We didn’t do any expensive repairs to start. But after the house sat on the market for a year with no offers, we eventually did do both repairs and upgrades (None of which we ever got back). It was pouring money in a black hole. But much depends on your situation. We were selling our house at a loss from the get go. If you have a sell price well above your equity, it might pay to do some improvement since you’d get it back in the sale. If you are like we were, my suggestion is to do as little as possible. In retrospect, I wish we had.

So much for the economic power of tax cuts and deregulation. It hasn’t moved the needle. He’s still riding Obama’s economic turnaround. Sure. Keep repeating that nonsense. Someday it may come true. Yes, truth is a pesky thing.

2017-19 Trek Suoer Comuter ebike is being recalled because of a incorrect front fender bolt which may allow the fender to fall off and jam the wheel while riding. Didn't someone here get this bike? Easy safety fix. Mike Yes, I did get one a few months ago. I’ll definitely look into it. Thanks for the heads up.

The quakes were apparently felt in Phoenix. Waves in their pools was common.

hmmm. I may pick up one of these. It sure would be more convenient than being tethered to a chord.

It’s a lot easier to throw a wet sponge into a case when it’s too dry, but it is much harder to remove excess moisture. The case doesn’t help much. Air conditioning is your best bet. You might try a baggy filled with dry rice placed in your soundhole. Poke some holes in the baggies to let air in. While the guitar is n the case, the dry rice can sop up excess moisture. But if you wanted to spend some money, pick up some of these. Silica gel packs

Hard to argue, though, with this kind of leadership. The thought just crossed my mind that it would be kind of fun to watch what would happen if Trump tried to grab any of Maj. Gabbard's private parts. If she were President, she’d kill over Putin in the bathing suit competition.

I was watching with an eye towards how these candidates would fare in my state. My sense was that only Klobuchar or Gabbard might win Arizona. Anyone who advocates reducing penalties for illegal immigration--or reparations--would be toast here. (Actually I didn't hear what, if anything, Klobuchar said about these things.) I'm not interested in nominating someone who can't win the general election. I don’t know enough about AZ voters to disagree with you, but it seems that anybody in the field that holds more moderate positions would do better here. I would put Biden in that category. I don’t think Klobucher or Gabbard have a chance.

I don't agree. I mean I don't like the guy. But I'd cut him some slack in this area. We're dealing with WEIGHTY INTERNATIONAL LIFE AND DEATH matters here. It's not a slang/grammer test. Well it made me read the history of the term "lock and load." I found two conflicting answers. When I was in Basic Training, that was the term used when on the firing range. It's time to "Lock and Load." Meaning you lock the weapon in the off position, and jam in a magazine of live rounds. You're now ready to murder targets on the shooting range. Of course the term "Lock and Load" morphed into "Rock and Roll" as in, "It's time to Rock and Roll." Except with Trump it is “we are ready to rock and roll ... in the fetal position”.

Looking at the forecast, we are clearly into the 100s now for the next few months. No rain, no clouds. If the monsoon season started, there is no sign of it yet.

Back in 2001 I went to Mike & Jan Dowling's Yellowstone guitar camp. That was their first year, and the only year Pat Donohue taught a class. Mike was teaching swing that week and Pat had all the fingerstyle players. I learned a hell of lot from him that week. I got a chance to perform a tune I wrote for him and the class. His main comment was that it was a high maintenance piece (lots of moving bass lines) that would require constant practice to stay on top of. Oh so true that was. I never play those moving bass lines any more. I also took workshops from him at the old String along weekends we had in WI. I always seem to came away with something useful. But mostly I just came away with awe and envy.

Yeah, I think it's pretty common for them to charge at least a portion of your stay immediately. You'll want to check on their refund policies if you think there is a chance you will have to cancel. Some offer liberal refund policies, others, not so much. I think running a campground involves a lot of work. Some places are well run, helpful, and a delight to deal with. Some are less than solid. Some have electrical pedestals that are dangerous to use. We use and recomend the "Allstays" app for your phone. It lets you look at a map of a area and lists all the campgrounds, stores, gas stations, etc with links to reviews of the campgrounds with pics. We try to stay away from the people cooking meth at the campsite. Mike Thanks Mike. I loaded that app and an allstay Walmart map for boondocking.
