Good morning all. I'm working on my first cup of coffee so consciousness is returning. I was up late last night. Kelly didn't get back from her band competion until 1 AM. Yawwwwn. They placed second, missed first by 1/2 point. She had a great time. I'm gonna play guitar and be lazy today. Have a great day Soundholians.

Morning Ken. I've got the first cup in and I'm going for my second. Didn't sleep well last night and I'm feeling a bit groggy...I hope to play a lot of guitar today.

Good morning folks. Up early on a bright and cold October morning. Holy toledo, it's cold for this time of year.
I may have to drive to the Big Smoke (Toronto) yuk.
I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Good morning, all. It's just getting light but I'm on my third cup of coffee.
Ken, it sounds as if Kelly did well.
I'm off to Flagstaff in the middle of the day for an overnight stay on business, but going there is always a pleasure. I'll see some aspen turning and hike around in the mountains for a while.

Hi, troupers -- Gorgeous morning here, and milady just helped me install new miniblinds in my boudoir -- they look great! Our gigs went perfectly well yesterday, even the mad dash between them. The second one was sparsely attended, but we had fun and got paid.
We're off to a sumptuous brunch, then Barb goes home, I watch football and do some yardwork. Life is ser gut.

Morning everyone. Coffee is poured, Anita and the kid are still in dreamland, soon to be up and off to church. This afternoon I will spend some time on the computer researching home coffee roasters and avoiding yardwork. Mike

You can do it SteveO. Substitute a hot herbal tea for every second cup.
I went cold turkey on the coffee when we were in Jamaica way back when. I had a headache for two days and then it was gone. Took me a long time to get back into the habit.

Good Morning Good People
Just returned from church on a beautiful October morning. Work stuff still hanging over my head, but I might even get in a bike ride and some dulcimer time.
Enjoy your Sunday one and all.

Hello everyone. Gotta get laundry done today.
Gonna work on some of that chord melody stuff. I think I need a music stand. Do y'all use them?

Ken, sounds like we kind of did the same thing yesterday.
The band contest that we host (first of three this year) was yesterday. Kelly and I hot there at 7:00am and left at 10:30pm. My legs still hurt. Because of the medical issues Cameron is working through, he didn't march the show so he helped us at out pizza and chick-fil-a stand. Since we were the host band, we marched in exhibition instead of competition. The judges do tell us what the scores would have been so we know how we would have ranked. Not sure what the results of it were yet.
We pulled about $7,000 at our stand and we think the total take was something like $50,000 for the day, up from $42,000 last year. We will be counting money for quite awhile.

It's a beautiful day in the BC interiour, so I figured instead of going paddling, or for a bike ride, that I'd do a brake job on the car.
How's that for poor priorities?
Johnne, I use a music stand enough to have three of them (two for the house and one for travelling). The heavy metal orchestra ones with the pneumatic height setters rock, you can put a ton of stuff on it and not have any problems. Do make sure that it gets low enough to use comfortably when you are seated, many of them are designed with the standing musician in mind...
Cheerio, and happy Sunday,
Paul O'G

Got back from Nebraska a while ago, after witnessing a fantastic football game last night. If only Kansas had won...
