Good morning. They now have hurricane Irene heading straight for us this weekend so maybe it's time for that generator I've been avoiding buying. Probably all the cheap ones are out of stock.

114? uk.
Up earlier and earlier. Pretty soon I'll be up before I go to bed.
It's been really cool lately around here - but today promises to be warmer. Feels like fall.

Don't go rushing Fall ! ! ! ! You know what comes after dat ! August is the last hurrah of Summer. . . . , Hurrah ! ! !
Should be idyllic here again today. 'Cept for the rain later. But just occasional bursts of thunder. Nothing hurricane like.

Mornin'..... 66º, heading for 104º. Just not quite fall yet. But on the brighter side, Shay is fully enrolled at Cimarron High School. I guess we'll see how she does. Even though the initial sadness of her situation is ebbing, I'm still mixed on how I feel about the whole thing. I want what ever arrangement that will most benefit her, and I wish it was still here. The main thing I didn't like about yesterday was that the SRS (Ks. State Dept. of Social and Rehabilitative Services) worker that was handling Shay's case came to Fowler and pulled my other two kids out of class to interview them (without our knowledge or consent) to make sure there wasn't any abuse issues here that may have caused Shay to run (which there was not). I'm sure ready for two weeks away on my own to have time to sort through all this and regroup.

That's a thrill, Peter. Enjoy it.
I just got an email from an old musician friend. Last night she dreamed that she was performing a song of mine called "Santa Fe" at a benefit. She hasn't heard that song, and I haven't played it, for about thirty years. Strange but kind of cool.

Oh! Pick up some Lemon Pledge. Or feed your furniture Favor -- it's good for the wood 'cause it's wax. Maybe a can of Behold.
