Hey T-Bob! How are you doing?
November first already! Lots of strong wind out there today. I hope the hydro stays on.
Seven and a half weeks until Christmas? Can't be!

Happy November, if that's possible.
Got an e-mail a little while ago saying the girls were approaching Dover, Delaware so I still have a couple of hours. They left Massachusetts around 1 this morning so they're making pretty good time. There shouldn't be much traffic between Dover and here. Maybe they'll all crap out and sleep all day.
Had 3 pars on the back 9 yesterday, a record for me. Still shot over 100 for the round though. Rain forecast until Sunday but I'll need to get out of here Sunday. At the bar, my buddy who is recovering from his cancer surgery but played with us yesterday, said I made a lot of "Brilliant shots". I said, "Lucky shots" but he said, "No, you don't understand the game, those were Brilliant shots". I'll take it.
Have a good weekend if I don't see you .

Stop already. I'm still trying to turn the clock back to August. One morning as I was fixing a cup of coffee in our little office kitchen, an older lady asked how I was doing. I replied "I wish it was Friday!" She chided me saying "You're just wishing your life awway!". I replied "Then I wish it was LAST Friday!" Good morning, all! I hope everyone had a nice, safe Halloween. Kinda rainy and dreary here in HOTlanta this morning; a good day to be an office worker.

TGIF. We decided to go in a half hour later today because it's so dark in the morning at 6:00 when we normally leave. Didn't help. Not only is it still dark we arrived just in time for a rain and windstorm. Also we were behind a schoolbus for the last part of the trip.
On Friday my friend (who rides his vintage BMW bike to work in any weather) stops at Knackals--an old fashioned bakery in Culpeper--and buys donuts. I haven't been at work on a Friday in a long time and I'm salivating for Knackals.

Dividend day, at least for a few things that are on a monthly cycle. This site is not all that accurate, but it seems close right now (maybe it should have higher precip % for sunday/monday): classic.wunderground.com/global/stations/47605.htmlAlso, we get a new piano tomorrow, a Yamaha N1 (wife's choice).

Morning all. Dickt I have an antique BMW. It's an '81 R 100. I ride it but not too often. I think I qualify as a biker. In addition to the antique I have two others--an F 650 GS and my fav of all time an R1200GS wet head. I no longer have the RT pictured at left in my avatar. All my touring now is done on the R1200GS. It's the one I plan to ride to St. Paul next summer for the big BMW rally. What a bike.

We got almost 4 inches of rain in the last couple of days, a ton or two of leaves came down with it and I hear the rake calling my name. 20 degrees colder today. Anyone wants to stop by and rake leaves, I will provide hot chocolate/beer***, lunch and the rake of your choice.
Have a good one.

mmmm .... donuts.
My last bike was a '78 R90 ... still going strong with 96K miles when I sold it.
It was quite the small town Halloween yesterday. Businesses had candy tables out on the street with a lot of the folks dressed up. Surprisingly large turnout of kids for a town of 750 and a county of 6000. Fun.

Up, but still in bed. I have a day off today. Mornin'..... Up, but not in bed, and I don't have the day off. I am cherishing that last few minutes before I have to get the kids up and get busy cleaning this place up for Carrie's big 13th birthday party tonight. Last night's action was Senior Night at the final football game of the season. Nice photo op and recognition for Ty and fun for us. Too bad they lost.....no sub-state play this year. Brings to an end Ty's high school football career. He did really good. Last year was All League Running Back with 1300 yds rushing and 17 touchdowns. And Paul S. needs to remember to check the web for a good restaurant for Sunday evening when Don and The Colonel will finally get to meet and do dinner. I'll then be visiting Mid America Heart Institute on Monday.
