In for a snowy week. We haven't had nearly as much as nearer the coast, but are already way over the average annual amount. And only half way through Feb, with the snowiest month of the year just around the corner.

Good morning. I go see the surgeon this morning to get the stitches and staples out. All seems well so with luck the dietary restrictions will come off. Probably still on light duty for a few weeks. I don't know how long the internals have to heal. Still this is actually less of a problem than when I ruptured the bicep tendon back in 2006.
Still have 2 digits in the temperature but the first one is a 1 so for me it's cold out.

12 degrees here. Open mic last night with a very small turnout. Next Thursday is a new bluegrass jam at the Brightwood Ruritan--sounds like a great place for some down home music. Meeting a kid for lunch today who wants to take care of my 401K which will be rolled over to an IRA. He seems like a kid because I googled him and he is my middle son's age.

Morning
My minor toothache of the other morning turned into a loose wisdom tooth and infected jaw. I haven't been eating much or sleeping well for a few days and yesterday afternoon the real pain started. Luckily the dentist was able to get me in right away and they got the tooth out in less than 15 minutes. Had horrible pain for a short while once the stuff the dentist put in me wore off. Now ibuprofen is doing just fine and I was able to sleep and eat something substantial for the first time in days. Now I need to go fill prescriptions and maybe have some breakfast. No wonder I've been grumpy and unmotivated for the last week or so, doing real good now. Except for the antibiotics, which means no drinking, hang in there Bruce, we'll get there.

Morning. It's 12 degrees here. There's a crew of guys reroofing the neighbors house. Makes me really appreciate my job.
Going to be a long weekend. After a few months hiatus we're playing a winery tonight and a brewery over in over near Warrenton for Valentine's tomorrow evening. They're apparently releasing some special edition stouts tomorrow, could be dangerous. And then it's off to Richmond to help my daughter move into a new apartment on Sunday. Wife's got the holiday on Monday off so I'm taking it off too to recover.
