Good morning. Crashed at 9 last night and got up at 6:30 this morning. My muscles are demanding the day off but the pool is closed. Not a great one-man job but I did it. Now if the water bags don't develop leaks I can pretty much ignore it until May.

We were there a couple of years ago. Stayed at Bar Harbor Inn on Frenchman Bay. We loved it there and we ate lots of lobsters. Have fun and be sure to tour Acadia. Nice day here. Happy October! |

Shangri-La. I just met a 700 year old man. I actually once stayed at a resort in Oklahoma called Shangri-La. Talk about false advertising. It was in the middle of nowhere and hundreds of miles from the nearest anywhere. Of course, that is true of most things in OK. I was in Tulsa and Oklahoma City, too. I spent nine months there one week. |

Kings County, NY. Not feeling 100% great today; must have eaten something that disagreed with my political views. Sticking close to home today and will attempt some light chores. I foresee a nap in my near future, too.
Spent 6 hours at the ancestral home on Friday clearing gutters, scrubbing exterior stains from one gutter, sweeping, painting a stained interior wall, caulking around some window frames. Gardeners did a big cleanup yesterday, texted me photos. Looks good. Open house from 1:00 to 4:00 today. A couple from last week told my realtor they will be returning to look again today; hopefully, we will see some forward motion. I would finally like to get this house out of my life—the new neighbor has taken up the mantle of the old neighbor and is fussing over details of my house. His latest obsession is the small white paint splatters around the chimney on my red tile roof. Meanwhile, his front garden hasn't been watered in a month and he has not lifted a finger to sweep out the acorns in the shared driveway (which my gardener has swept). If this continues, I may ask the gardener to sweep only my side of the drive...
I hope everyone has a pleasant, enjoyable, relaxing Sunday.

tried to stay up and watch the Malaysian GP, I'm getting too old, slept in this morning. Wanna be lazy today, but guilt may drive me out to do something later...after chores of course.

tried to stay up and watch the Malaysian GP, I'm getting too old, slept in this morning. I am trying to avoid learning the results as there is a rebroadcast tonight at 8 p.m. Central time. |
