Rainy days and Mondays...
Red Sox still have the best record in baseball and are still 5.5 games ahead of the Yankees, so that's good. After a reminder last week I thought I had a doctor appointment this morning but it's next Monday so that's good. Let it rain. The 91% humidity is a little uncomfortable though. Oh,well, first world problem because I have A/C in here. Been spending time with my guitars trying to get the fingers to work and it might be getting better. Looks like another good practice day, inside.
Try to have a good day.

I've already had a little adventure this morning. As I neared my office, I realized that my parking-garage access card was missing from the spot I usually place it on my car's console. I pulled over and searched for it, finally seeing a corner of it wedged down low between the right side of the driver's seat and the transmission tunnel. No way to reach it from the front and I could not get my arm in deep enough from the back to reach it, either. So, naturally, because I happened to be parked next to a firehouse, I rang the bell and a nice young fireman came to my aid. A combination of moving the seat forward and back and his long, skinny arms saved the day!
All this after the clerk at SuperAmerica earlier waved me off when I tried to pay for my cold-brew coffee! I must look the pitiful dude!

Good morning. I saw a coyote in our backyard this weekend so we're keeping an eye on our cat. It'll be a fairly normal day weather-wise for late July. Enjoy your day.

Looking forward to after-work today, when Babzi and I will board the below vessel for an hourlong tour on the Mississippi north of downtown, including a visit to a great-blue-heron rookery. Cool thing is that you are welcome to bring whatever food and drink you wish aboard. And it's solar/electric powered, so quiet and no fumes.

Just another Monday. Shopping in Burlington, maybe checkout some manufactured homes to see what's new. Then time on the phone with the county trying to work through the requirements for a building permit.
Better days y'all

Good moaning.
83F/29C Mostly sunny.
Grocery shopping and other stuff to do.
Found out that the sinkhole in Kellogg collapsed about 30 minutes after we drove over it. Today the water main is repaired and the hole almost filled. They still have to replace the pavement, that will take a couple of days. Cheri drives over that spot every day on the way to work and I drive over it often as it is the way I take to Grumpy Steve's, Taco House or Capitol Guitars.
Pine Island 84F.
40 Days to IJ.

Good Moanin'..... Nonsense, it's another fine one here. If I was to moan (and I won't) about anything, it would be about the 40 days I have to wait to see you all. Hammond.....loved the good ending to the parking card story. You beat me to the RRRRRRR's too. Happy Day!!

At the desk ready to work. First sip of coffee - not too bad. This is the first of two weeks without my legal secretary - uggh.
Looks like we are on course for record number of days over 90.
While we were at the beach Saturday the fire department dropped by our house to put out a fire in our bark dust. A fireman told my neighbor that it was started with a cigarette butt.
Be careful out there!

‘morning. Headed out to the VA, per usual, to teach guitar to vets. Then shipping off some stuff, and practice, then maybe "mission impossible: fallout" with K. That movie has gotten rave reviews from some surprising sources (friends who generally dislike big hollywood) as well as the usual critics and I can’t remember the last time we paid full price for a movie.

I haven't kept up with those MI movies. Is this on like a sequel or stand alone? Do I need to catch up on the one before?
